what do the hotels do for new years eve?

We are thinking of going to disney next new years. I know that the park has a big show but i was wondering if anyone knew if the hotels (especially the delux hotels) do anything special?

We stayed at the Boardwalk in 2003-2004 NYE and I don't recall them doing anything special for NYE....We spent the night in Epcot and it was spectaclar.

We were at EPCOT last nite, the Illuminations show was spectacular and all the parks had extra fireworks, you could not look anywhere in the sky without seeing fireworks. When we got back to the Boardwalk, there was a party with a DJ going on, we were wiped out so we didn't stay, but it looked like it was going strong. Last NYE we stayed at the VWL and there wasn't anything there, the GF seems to have a party every year.

You just jogged my memory...there was a DJ and a party on the green...how could I forget...I mentioned how difficult it would be to sleep that night if you had a boardwalk view room....very loud people and music

so i guess the parks are the place to be . i was just wondering if any of the hotels had big parties especially the ones with convention centers. sounds like a good time no matter where in the world you are . i think we are going to give it a try next year!
