I'm sure there is a thread about this already but I have searched and searched and can't find it. What do all the different categories (10A, 9B, etc) on DCL mean?
The number in the category (i.e., 4-11) will designate whether the stateroom is interior (10-11), oceanview with port hole(s) (8-9) or verandah (4-6). There will be some slight size difference as the numbers get lower (lower category = larger room) and the number of passengers it will sleep. The letter (A-E) is more of a "mini" category that will designate more preferred location - either which deck or forward/mid/aft. You can find more specific information about the various categories under Staterooms in the red toolbar above the forums. Generally, there will be very little price difference between letters within a number category.
Categories
When selecting your stateroom, take note of the categories. They designate the different types of rooms, or can indicate different Deck locations within these types. The Compare Staterooms page offers convenient side-by-side comparisons to help you see the differences and decide on the room that's best for you.
