What do reindeer eat?

Oh, this is so OT but OUR old man dog MILO loves ice cubes too! Same as yours, if you go NEAR the fridge, he comes running (well as fast as the little old guy can go.) He even loves to go "bobbing for treats" when I put a bunch of them in the big water bowl. He will stick his nose all the way under the water to get the cubes. Too funny!

Don't find many other dogs named Milo (and no, ours isn't named from Milo and Otis...)

That is so funny! Our Milo isn't named after Milo and Otis either. Before we got Milo, we had a Yorkie named Maggie, so their names fit. :) Our Milo runs from the back of the house when he hears the fridge ice maker going, too! It's funny to see since Milo is a Corgi and watching those short, fat Corgis run is a sight to see! Especially when he gets to the tile kitchen floor and slides!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I do have a bowl for the reindeer food, so I'll probably leave that outside since reindeer can't come inside. (Hallmark had a cute plate for cookies, bowl for reindeer, and glass for milk and I just HAD to get all three!)

Cheerios! We always have a box in the house and leave a little paper plate of Cheerios for Santa to bring up to his Reindeer. No mess. No fuss. :thumbsup2

We have a very complicated routine that we follow....
First the magic reindeer dust, to guide Santa & the reindeer to our house.
Then the carrots.
And lastly, a bucket of water, to wash it all down.

I love  watching DH tromp out into the snow to dump the bucket, chew up the carrots and spit them around to make it look like the reindeer had a feeding frenzy. Maybe he'd prefer apples this year?! :lmao:

All of this for a 2 year old (last year)!

We usually leave carrots and my son has also made reindeer food in school...they mix oats and glitter and send everyone home with some in a paperbag that is decorated by the kids.

Oh the lengths we will go for the little ones...lol...I just had an image of my DH doing that! It's pretty funny!!

We always left carrots at our house, but I'm taking mental notes for when we have our DD home from China! Send daddy outside to spit out carrots...lol...he'll just LOVE me for that one... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When I was a kid we used to leave carrots. When we were sleeping my mom would chew up the carrots and spit pieces of it all over the coffee table, then when we woke up in the morning she would talk about the big mess that the reindeers made. I never once wondered how all the reindeer fit into our livingroom.
