People that don't pay for seat assignments or early bird check in on their flights and then complain that their young kids couldn't sit with them - or then they ask someone who did pay for a seat to move
:goodvibes Good memories - I loved that thread about whether or not somebody who had paid for a premium seat should move so a young child could sit with his/her Mom. For the record, the correct answer to that question was NO, that's a rude and unreasonable expectation. :rolleyes1

I always get EBCI for us on SWA. I wouldn't even consider not getting it and I wonder why people are so tight about paying it (it's peanuts) when going on vacation.

That said, if I was traveling solo I would most likely move if I was asked and it wasn't an inconvenient swap.

If you paid extra for a premium seat you'd swap for one that wasn't, because someone else didn't plan? You're a better person than I. :)

But I digress... back to Olive Garden... :rolleyes1

If it was a crap swap i.e. from aisle seat to middle seat it wouldn't be ideal for me and I wouldn't do it. But, yeah, I probably would to move if asked (not demanded). My friend, the troll Netts @ronandannette above, has bullied me into thinking that being gracious is the way to go. Although that mindset could change depending on the day of the month.

:rotfl2:Let's face it - disgruntled as I would be, it's almost 100% sure I'd move before sitting beside somebody's unsupervised toddler. Gracious is as gracious does (and the motive doesn't really matter :ssst: ). Keep at it jevsie - you'll get the hang of it. (Pro-tip: Try inserting random ones of these :flower3: into your posts. It lends a humble, "aww shucks" quality that's very winsome!)

What is the Olive Garden? I'm guessing a chain restaurant, faux-Italian style? Because I gotta tell ya, once you've tasted pizza or pasta from a genuine family run pizzeria in Italy, all our home-brews cower in comparison!

That's exactly what it is, a chain place serving "Italian" food. It's not even really as bad as people make it out to be, however it is the poster child for inauthentic, mass-produced food and their commercials make it seem like real people from Italy will go there and be impressed. The worst part of it to me is how absolutely crowded it is there all the time. For a place everyone hates, they sure do a lot of business. It's like McDonalds. SO many people say they never eat there, but then, who's eating there? Apparently tons of people (even me on occasion).

On the kid seat thing - I would suggest they switch the kid's better seat with the person sitting next to them in the crap section. See if they really want to sit by their kid or just want to scam their way into a low-end upgrade.

Yes, that that's what it is and I agree. There is a large population of Italian-Americans where I live, hence an abundance of amazing Italian restaurants. So no, chain restaurants don't compare!

Olive Garden is like an overpriced Fazoli's. :rotfl2:

I know this is gonna be a controversial one, but... people who DON'T NEED motorised scooters but still have one. I've been run over six times now. Silent instruments of death. Just to clarify: I have NO problem with the scooters when NEEDED to improve people's quality of life.

New posters who don't post about Disney first. People forget that our messages come up on google searches so a lot of people find the DIS through other topics.

The banning of political discussion on the community board. Man, these threads are boring without it. Unless folks really get into talking about whether they had pimples as teens...
