What do people do that irks you related to WDW

A little "venting" helps me keep my happy face and keep it all in perspective...
It's still the happiest place on earth!

1) The CMs at food courts (esp where they sell italian food) who take ONE order at a time and wait for it to be done before moving on instead of asking anyone else if they also want pizza, etc (when the oven can surely hold more than ONE personal pan pizza!!). It took us 40 minutes to get a personal pizza because there were FOUR people in line in front of us who all also wanted pizza! I don't get it.

2) I agree with the "ressie" comments!

3) People who stop in their tracks right in the middle of a busy walkway

4) Parents who don't keep track of their children and let them run wild in lines or yell/talk loud during shows (I understand crying more than the loud talking- sometimes you just can't get a kid to stop crying).

5) Foreigners (esp kids) who talk all the way through shows because they don't understand what's going on... or I guess they just don't understand that others are there to watch the show and not to listen to them (I had this in March watching the American Adventure).

6) People who have fast passes that don't become good for another 5 minutes who stand RIGHT in front of the fast pass entrance so others can't get by them.

Oh I forgot! People who use strollers (esp the double wides) to shove through crowds after a parade. The people in front of you are also trying to get out of the park, ramming into their ankles will do nothing except PISS THEM OFF.

And even worse is when the parents let their kids take control of the stroller!

I have three -

3) Parents forcing kids to ride rides when the kids are scared of the ride. Dad's are especially bad about this. I don't know how many times I heard Dad say "I'm sure if they ride the ride they will like it" and end up picking up kid and forcing kid to ride ride. Kid screams throughout the ride. I'm sure Dad thinks he is building character in the kid. Never have understood this.

OK, I am guilty of doing this and admit it. I pushed my DS to go on rides, he screamed, he kicked, I had to drag him on. But I'm wondering if this counts when you "FORCE" an 8yr old if the ride is Ellen's Energy Adventure & Spaceship Earth

Disclaimer: we did not force him onto TOT, Dinosaur, etc, we had decided those were too scary for him.

DH and I are guilty of this, only because DSs need that nudge. They get all worked up before the ride and they make themselves cry. Take BTMRR. DS1 was crying all thru the queue, rides the thing, and it ends up being his most favorite ride of all. Since he discovered he might just like a ride, he's bravely rode all the rides. If he doesn't like it, fine... we won't ride again, but more often than not, he ends up loving the rides. Both my DS are like that. So if you see us with a crying kid in the queue, I apologize beforehand.

Y'know, my kids are like this too and what I want are ear plugs and a blind fold for the queue area. Then they can't get all paranoid on me.

And calie j-I have "forced" my child to ride Peter Pan, Pooh and the Tea Cups so I know where you are coming from.

My pet peeves are people who think they know everythign about WDW having not been there in 10 years adn not having done any research.

And of course, those who ask for my advice and then don't follow it.

I have the same reaction as your son with the Universe of Energy -- and I've been on it before! Man, I wish I had those 45 minutes back.

A friend of mine was once pulled out of an audience to be in a show at MGM Studios (just one of those street performances). A woman came up and asked if she could take my friend's spot on the bench. I told her my friend was sitting there and she said "She doesn't need the seat, she's in the show."

I got up and gave her my seat. There would have been words exchanged if she hadn't had a child with her.

She and the child sat there for maybe five minutes and then left.

After the show some of the actors came up and said "Wow, wasn't she rude."

And last but not least people who are stupid enough not to realize they are in a park with lots of little children and use the "F" word every 3 seconds. Come on people, wake up and smell the coffee!!!

yeah, I especially hate that! Very rude for people to do that!

Can you tell I am soooo sick of the of the attitude that WDW is only for children and if you go with just your spouse, there is something inherentaly wrong with you.

Try going alone.

There's been many times I've had to change seats for something so that some late-arriving couple can sit together.

Okay ... I have 3 more:

(1) Smokers who smoke in crowds, especially after IllumiNations, Wishes or Fantasmic!
(2) People who wear very little to the parks.
(3) People who wear suggestive t-shirts. This is Disney, not NASCAR. I don't need to see your "Big Johnson" t-shirt while standing in line with our 3 year old daughters to see Ariel.

Things that I have been guilty of:

(1) Stopping. Yes, I'm a stopper. I am so focused on what is in front of me that I sometimes forget the people behind me. It is something I am trying to change.

(2) Stroller ramming. I even gave my DD a glowing spinning Mickey so people could see us coming. We were going "upsteam" after Wishes and it's the only way to get back to Fantasyland.

(3) I refilled my All Stars mug at POR after attempting to pay the CM for a drink.

My beef doesn't only go for WDW, but also the mall, etc... but people who don't understand there are other people trying to walk, too. Its either groups that take up the entire walkway or people who just stop in their tracks and I end up running into them. I hate that!

I hate that too! Hey, I'm from Cleveland too! Wasn't that snow storm the other day terrible?!

I hate it when people think that they are the only ones on vacation and every one else is in their way. As it has been said before, this is Disney and it is going to be crowded. Remember that, try to plan your days out a little better, and relax. It doesn't matter how much you get to do, the fact is you are still at Disney and can experience stuff that no one else can unless they are there.

What irks me:

People who make a face at me when I pass them in stand-by through the FP line. You could get one too! Read your park map and you see its free!
I had some women yell "Hey where the He*^ does she think she's going" as Iwalked down the FP lane for SM I yelled back FASTPASS. Later I got to thinking she probably thought I called her a fat a$$. OOPS

This is a really good thread. Maybe we need a new phrase "Disney Rage".

My biggest peeves.

Smoking in Non-Smoking areas and throwing cig butts on the ground.

People who think my 3 adult family don't have a much right to have fun because we don't have children with us. I have worked much harder for this trip than most of those kids!

Oh yeah on the people pretending not to understand American....you can bet by the time I get through with them....they knew just what I was saying!

We have never had a problem with line cutters (my 6"4', 200 lb brother just has this "aura" around him).

We do sit at the left end of a row for shows....the aforementioned brother has no left hip...it doesn't bend anymore....so we sit on the end so his leg can be straight out most of the time.

Glad to know about the hearing impaired position at shows.

The best thing I could liken this to would be walking your kids down Bourbon Street in New Orleans, LA. In both locations you can purchase beer, mixed drinks etc and walk around, the exact same as PI!

Hey, I grew up thinking it was perfectly acceptable to walk down Bourbon Street, and look how good I turned out!
In all seriousness, I agree. Once PI reaches that time when it is a "bar scene," it may be time to take the children home to rest up for MK the next day. I'm sure they will enjoy that a lot more.

Mine is people who push you out of the way as the parade is starting to "weasle" into your spot you staked out for over an hour. Happened to us last year right as SpectroMagic began, my son was devestated. The NERVE!!!

ITA that there are a number of people who do this for no reason, on the flip side, many people use this circumstance to use foul launguage or call our family stupid, ignorant, deaf or dumb when they enter an auditorium & find me, my DS & my deaf DH sitting in the center of a row. WDW offer reflective captioning at many of their attractions, but in order to use this feature you have to be seated in an area where the screen can capture the reflection-unfortunately this is often in the middle of a row......!

Thank you for the observation. However, I would not call anyone names or be rude to to people who sit in the middle of a row. I am sorry that your family has experienced that. Just because I'm mentioning peeves does not mean I let the behaviors of others ruin my day. I am on vacation, I don't sweat the small stuff.
