What do most kids like to take in their lunch? DD asked DH to pack her a bag of shredded ham, no bread, just shredded ham :confused3

:confused3 Beats me. All my DD wants is ham and cheese, no bread, and water.

I've seen kids with just lunch meat, no bread before.

My daughter doesn't eat many sandwiches. I'm always challenged trying to pack her something she'll eat. Next year, in middle school, I'm hoping she'll eat the school lunches, even if it's pizza every day.

Tonight my son asked me to pack him spaghetti and meatballs with a slice of buttered bread! He was serious too!

Usually my kids ask for peanut butter on whole wheat or bologna or ham. A piece of fruit and a water bottle, juice box.

2 of my kids want PB&J every day.

the other wants either PB and bread, or ham cheese and bread, no condiment of any kind.

DS has taken PB&J and an apple almost every day this year. Very boring!! :confused3

Normally DD's buy their lunch, it is so cheap through the school. They actually gets sick of buying itsometimes. The food is usually really good so I can't imagine trading it for a bag of warm sloppy ham :confused3

My daughter hates pizza - and they have Pizza Hut pizza at school!

I get the strangest looks when we eat out and someone offers her pizza and she doesn't want any....

DS love peanut butter and honey sandwiches, pepperoni and cheese sandwiches, cold pizza and once in a while a Lunchable.

DS doesn't like deli meat, with the exception of pepperoni. I think its a texture thing so it can be challenging when he takes a lunch to school. Luckily he doesn't get upset eating those 3 or 4 things over and over again.

He usually buys a milk at school and I send crackers, fruit or a treat of some sort. Depends on what's left in the pantry.

ds takes hot lunch at school...there are almost no kids who take a bagged lunch. but for morning snack i pack a juice box, and some chips or crackers and some sort of a sweet.
he eats a fruit salad after school every day b4 karate.

So glad to know it's not just my DD. She's the same way.

The sweetpea has had the same lunch almost everyday since she was in kindergarten. PB&J cut diagnally or into triangles, water, fruit snack, and string cheese. Sometimes she will ask me to pack something if she wants a snack, not all the time though. But yes, PB&J almost every day. A few times a year she will ask for turkey or salami (just the meat and bread dry). She will take leftover pizza if shes in the mood. And maybe a couple times a month she will buy. I like that she wants the same thing all the time. It makes it much easier when packing her lunch in the morning.

DS8 takes bologna everyday, just bologna, no bread.
I hate bologna. The smell is sooo gross!

Peanut butter every day in one form or another...right out of the jar, on crackers, on bread, on apples....thats it...

My DD's favorite lunch from home is maple turkey breast, provolone cheese, mustard and lettuce on a bakery roll.

My DD woule also love just a bag of ham.

They mostly have ham and cheese, pb and j, salads, sliced fruit, yogurt, etc.

Sometimes they ask for the leftovers from the night before-cold pizza, lasagna, etc.

They both love strawberries with a scoop of cool whip in a container.

My DD is in 7th and still wants to take her lunch every day. It is always turkey on wheat, some kind of chips, cookies, fruit snacks and a juice. By now you would thnk she would be tired of this. :)

Lately my dd has been asking to take a salad to school. I put it in a tupperware with some cut up grilled chicken, a packet of salad dressing and a fork. She's happy.

I always made my kids do the hot lunch, but when they brown bag it, DS liked to just take lunch meat with no bread. DD only ever wants PB&J.

I'm with your dd on this one--I really don't like pizza. Tell her the strange looks will continue her entire life. :rotfl2:

DD is 15 and still takes her lunch every day. A peanut butter sandwich (no jelly, just pb), a bag of cut veggies (carrots, cauliflower, celery) and a container of dip, cheese and crackers, and I usually throw in something sweet like those 100 calorie bags of Chips Ahoy. And a bottle of water.
