I'm going to the Kalahari Waterpark Resort tomorrow with my church for Youth Group Day, and it's my first time ever going to a waterpark. What do I need to bring besides a bathing suit, a towel and a comb?

TIA!

Deoderant plus soap/shampoo if you'll want to shower before getting back into street clothes. A plastic bag for wet towel/suit. Snacks/drinks or cash to buy them.

I went to the indoor waterpark at West Ed Mall with a friend a few years back and we had a blast!!

Earplugs..those places are so LOUD!!!!

Flip-flops for the bathrooms :crazy2:, for sure and CASH for snacks.

Great suggestions all!

Thanks and keep them coming!!! :thumbsup2

Oh! And do waterparks like that usually provide towels? I plan to bring my own towel but should I need another one...

Definitely flip-flops--forgot about that one--good call!

Most waterparks rent towels, but they are small and not so good. I want to think that my friend and I brought two each--one for the pool area and a second clean one to use when we got done showering.

Thanks, Anne! :) I was going to bring one, but am now certainly bringing two...

The Kalahari resort provides towels for the guests to use, but they are small and not as nice as a beach towel from home. I usually bring my own beach towel, but use their towels for a quick dry off when I need it.

Another thing to add to your list is a bathing suit cover-up. When we're not in the water and lounging around, you might want to put something over your suit. For me, it's more comfortable than wearing your suit all day.

DH, the kids and I just come back from Kalahari a couple weeks ago. You're gonna love it. We were there during the week and I think other than us, there were 20 people there.
My DH and DS tried the Flowrider, they said it was alot of fun. We did all the slides and the coaster. DS and I even got stuck on the coaster.

The resort provides towels. They're Ok, we just used those. The water, IMOP was cold, so be prepared.

Cover-ups, flip-flops, money, change of clothes, toiletries, did I say money. Its resort prices so be prepared. Have fun!

It sounds AWESOME! I just looked at the website. Thanks all!! Keep them coming...and I think I will bring sunscreen..."if you don't like the weather in Ohio, wait a minute. It'll change."...just in case.

I think it would really be funny if you actually did bring sunscreen and started applying it just to get a reaction from people. :lmao: :sunny: :rotfl2: :teeth:
