What do I need to have prepared for online check-in?

As of today I am 31 days away from Cruising. Our Cruise leaves on April 1. I previously saw in the navigator app that I could check in online on March 2. However, at 12am tonight, it will be 30 days. And that is March 1. Do I have this wrong?
Midnight is the start of the day. So if your online check in says March 2, then it will be midnight Eastern on March 2. The countdown in your app must be right at 30 days, not 30 days and some odd hours (which is actually 31 days).

CM told me that the website works better than the app for check-in. Do you all agree?

No... and I am curious what they mean by "better". For one thing, the website didn't have check-in available on time for me, but the app did. (This happens a lot with other Disney sites - for whatever reason, things will open up at different times on the website and app. Like DL dining. So I was prepared and had both ready to go.)

In terms of ease - I personally thought the app was pretty simple to use. I didn't want to put cash and go back to enter my credit card later, and it was definitely faster to use my phone for credit card info inputting - you can just scan the card. If you are hand-typing things, then yeah - copying/pasting from a Word doc is easier. But I really didn't have to do any hand-typing. The app pulled almost all of the info from our passports and filled in the form for me.

Historically, I have used the website. The disaster that was my Wish check-in in December, I tried everything, and ultimately, still did best with the website.

Question: If you're checking in 2 rooms, but only have 1 account, can 2 people log into the 1 account on different computers and each do a room? Or do you have to do them sequentially?

Does the check in usually get hung up when uploading photos? If so would it be better to do that before entering in any other info? Because most others would be entering info at that time?

I now can speak from experience. If you don't care about the royal gathering, then don't stay up until 12am. Because it'll be 2am before you know it and you'll still be stuck waiting. This is what happened to me last night. I was able to enter all my info but when I went to select the pat, it just took me back to enter info and it looked like I hadn't entered anything. But if I navigated back to the summary page I could see everything entered. I finally gave up and when I got up at 6am, luckily all my info was saved and I hit submit. To my surprise it went through! I got 11:30 pat and boarding group 6. I think that's pretty good.

I keep hearing this - people who get hung up at midnight, just get up early to finish, and get a great PAT. It's not unusual for me to stay up till midnight anyways, so I think my strategy is going to be to reserve the Royal Gathering first, see if I can start checking in, and if I hit any snags just go to bed and finish in the morning. It doesn't seem like there is any benefit to continue trying if you're getting any tech or connection issues, as it still seems pretty common to get a good boarding group as long as you log back in to finish in the morning.

Despite being in the 'stay up late' club, I might take this approach for my upcoming Wish sailing. I just realized the night I'd have to stay up late (though I'm in the midwest, so it would be 11pm) is the same night/morning I have a 5:30am flight and then am going to DL. The logistics of staying up super late then having to get up only a few hours later doesn't seem worth it. I might just go to bed early, get a few solid hours, then get up early for my flight and do check in then.

Please let us know how it goes. I don't care about PAT, just want to get a Royal Gathering ticket. Will I have to enter our passport info, photos, etc. just to get to the Royal Gathering sign-up or can I just click straight to it? Thanks!

I believe you can sign up for the Royal Gathering first before filling out any of your information - I think it just becomes available at 30 days out at the same time as the check-in.

May not be the right thread for this but I inquired about upgrading to concierge at the port for the March 4-11 Fantasy sailing (embarking today). We are in category 5B (7544) and the prices were $6800ish to upgrade to a 1BR suite and $3600ish for an accessible concierge verandah.

Last night, March 3, I logged on at 11 pm CST for our Disney Wish cruise leaving April 3. I tried accessing the online check in using my PC. Clicking on the pull-down check in tab did not do anything.

(This was using disneycruise.disney.go.com. I see now at noon the next day I can use the online check in tab to view/change my info.)

Three of us were trying the same with the same results. So, after constant trying, I switched over to the Navigator on my iPad and the tab led us to the check in setup. This was about 11:15 pm.

We entered cash and driving. My pictures of the full page of our passports were on the PC so I decided just to take a picture of the passports. The template for the passport picture was set up just to view the bottom data page and did not provide space for the upper signature page. Anyway, it was accepted!

As we were delayed in our data entering, we received a PAT of 12:15 pm. What is the earliest possible PAT?

I live in the central time zone. I was not able to begin check in on the app until midnight central time. My PAT is 12 noon for an April sailing from New Orleans.

And there are no Royal Gathering tickets remaining. So disappointing.

We cruised on the Fantasy last Oct. - Nov. and will be going on the Wonder out of Hawaii this coming Oct. Do we have to re-submit vaccination info. to the Safe Passage site or is it one and done. I see from this Forum that I'll have to resubmit pictures, plus passport pages for DW and I when I check-in. Seems redundant but then that's life nowadays.
