I paid off the last of our DVC points last week using an airline Visa. Member accounting told me that a satisfaction of mortgage will arrive in 6-8 weeks. We paid off a couple smaller contracts prior to this and it does take awhile to get the letter.

On one of our trips to BWV we were waiting to talk to the outside sales agent at the BWV open house and I overhead an older gentleman ahead of me lecturing on and on that you shouldn't be buying timeshares if you couldn't pay cash. I just smiled. I'm glad we bought in spite of having to use financing - many trips and a couple cruises later we're very happy we did.
