OK here's the deal...we are going for about 2 weeks at Christmas (WDW), I am going with a friend to a conference at DL the first week of Dec, and DH & I went in Feb. for our Oct. 20 year anniversary...now I have these points you see. DO I book 2 weekend nights for the last part of our stay and surprise DH & DCherubs or do I book a 4 day weekend in Sept/Oct and surprise DH with a real anniversary trip? Can't ask friends cause they think I am certifiable going all these times to where? Knew my DIS friends would understand!

While this may go against the family mentality, I would suggest going for your Anniversary. I think doing something like that would be huge. Food & Wine will be going on at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. You can have the chance to relive some memories together. It is a great way to celebrate that milestone, IMHO. I think with the 2 week vacation over the holidays, you can give the kids the chance to plan that entire vacation trip. That makes it a trade-off then (since y'all get your trip in Sept., the kids get theirs in Dec. They can work together and pick anything and everything -within reason- they want). Good luck!

Does plane fare factor into your decision?? Because if you go in Oct. you'll need more plane tkts. Whereas if you add on in Dec. the tkts just need a new return date. Just a thought.

Good thoughts both of them. Plane fare is not a big deal as we are trying to add on to get another free flight from SW. Alone time is a big deal as I am way more busy than I should...
