What do all of you do with the money you bring?

Do we just carry it with us in the theme parks or do we leave some of it in the safe in our room? are they secure? this is our very first trip there and we have no idea what do with all the money. Makes me nervous carrying it all with us, what if we'd lose it! any help here would be appreciated.

We take out $50.00 from an ATM prior to arriving at the park/hotel and keep it just for emergencies or places that do not take a debit/credit card. We live/die by our debit card and we hardly keep cash on us. There aren't very many places that don't take a debit/credit card so 95% of my daily activities can be paid for with that. A few of the smaller cart vendors may/may not have an electronic terminal so those places are usually hardly used unless there's a big line next to a concession and i'm parched/starving.

We use our room keys. When we check in, I register my Visa debit card. We hardly ever use cash at home, so we do the same on vacation. Works great.

We like to have a bit of cash on hand for some things but havent had the joy of DDining so that may change. Usually leave 50 in the room safe. DS has his allottment of cash for the day too.

same here no real big sum of cash . Use KTTK keys for charging and a small amount of cash on hand.

I always keep some stashed away with an emercency CC on my carry-on and then put it in the safe upon arrival.

We go to AAA and get travelers checks. Leave those in safe and track which ones are there. We cash some each day for incidentals. The rest of what we spend goes on our Disney Visa Card. We seldom use cash at home so, for us, this is just how we live since we pay off the card each month it works great for us. We get points that help us pay for our room at Disney and food ...then when at Disney we are earning more points to help us pay for our vacation next time. That said, we have never had anything taken from our safe when we have locked it (in 14 years) but there is always a first time, I guess. That is why we go with the traveler's checks since they will replace them within 24 hours.

We prefer the KTTW card. We give the desk our cash and put it all on the KTTW, we get a refund back if we didn't use it all. We have done the same thing with travelers checks.

When you check in to the resort,they'll give you a room key or "Key to the World" card. You in turn give them cash,credit or debit card and they apply it to your "Key". You use it just like a credit card throughout the parks and resort. Some of the little ice cream/pop stands and such don't take them so you'll need a little bit of spending money. If memory serves me correctly, it's,like, $2.50 for a Coke. Hope this helps.

No we had some unspent this last trip as well.It is nice to bring some back but it's put away for our next trip and I did buy DD some pins from E-bay to trade.
