What Disney movie do you think should have been turned into a dark ride??

I'd loooove to see a roller coaster incorporating the fall down the rabbit hole and the entire "loopy" feeling of Alice in Wonderland (including feeling "small" then "big" based on the scenery around you), complete with a "chase" from the Queen of Hearts!!!!!

:dance3:

I like the idea of the rumored door scene in Monsters Inc being turned into a dark inverted roller coaster, where your legs dangle down below. Of course one of the great movies with little or no love is the Incredibles. I have no idea what type of attraction you could do for that though. I know, these are Pixar films, and Pixar seems to be trumping Disney Animation as far as attractions, but hey,... who can't admit they are great movies.

I always thought that the door scene from Monsters Inc would be great inspiration for a roller coaster! It would be so much fun.

That would be great!

I might be in minority, but I say Emporer's New Groove all the way. That could be great... it could be a coaster or dark ride either could be great.

I would pee my pants!!! There's a coaster in the movie... I'd love to see that. At the beginning of every ride Kronk would yell... PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!!! And at the end we would all leave wearing scientist robes!!

Hmm...how about a ride from fantasia or fantasia 2000, fantasia could be an escape from that evil gargole and include that awesome dark music "night on bald mountain" , fantasia 2000 could be an escape from that volcano during the "firebird suite" scene. THey could both be some really cool coaster/escape rides complete with the music tie it. It would be so cool-plus totally honor Walt's visions (well at least concerning fantasia and music)

I concur on Hercules! There is a ton of great material there! Also if no one else mentioned there is Hunchback! The underground, the Cathedral, Fest a Feu, etc.
Hercules and, although not a full-length movie, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow!

Hercules has so many amazing settings.. the Underworld, Mt. Olympus, ancient Greece.. I think it would make a great dark ride with it's storyline and characters.

And The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is just an all-time classic. It would be so much fun to maybe see the story through Ichabod's eyes (like in Snow White's Scary Adventures) and have to make it to over the bridge at the end to escape the Headless Horseman.

I always thought the door ride for Monster Inc would be cool.
I would love to see a Sword in the Stone movie. Or if they opened a version of the Pinocchio ride from Disneyland- I really enjoyed that one.

Aladdin! There could be a sequence when you're flying on the magic carpet.

The Black Hole & Tron

both classics, both have obvious ride connotations. Heck, you could re-theme TSM with The Black Hole... the robots have the shooting gallery scene that would be easy to simulate. Tron has the light speeders & the tanks that would make for a great ride.

Gah, Black Hole was always one of my fave disney movies...I have such trouble finding folks who have watched it! That ride would be awesome...

that would be awesome I was actually thinking the same thing.

The Incredibles.

I always thought it would be cool to do a ride like Spider Man at Islands of Adventure. But it would be like a 3D show/ride for the Incredibles.

Hercules sounds kinda neat too though.

Aladdin - ditto! I always loved the part in the old Sega video game when you're escaping the Cave of Wonders aboard the magic carpet-- and although that would be an ah-MAY-zing roller coaster, I think a dark ride of Aladdin would be really fun too, and more accessible to kids of all ages. Although perhaps a little too similar to Peter Pan in concept?

I know they've got the carpets, but it could have been so much MORE!

101 Dalmatians would be cool too. I just love the songs and all the dogs!

I also agree that the castle should have had a ride, or at least a walk-through tour or SOMETHING. Disney really missed a golden opportunity by not thinking ahead with this one. Count me as one other little girl whose dreams were dashed upon learning from my mother that Cinderella's castle was "fake" (thanks for the honesty Mom!) on an early trip. I had to fly all the way to Germany to eventually get my castle fix! Neuschwanstein-- now that's a castle.
