I haven't seen any posts yet about the first Easter Buffet at HHI. I was just curious if anyone out there cares to share their views on the buffet Brunch that was served. Personally, I think that Disney really needs to think about the outdoor location. We were lucky- it was sunny, although very windy. What if it had rained? March at the beach could be "iffy". Perhaps in the traditional Easter of April(it came early this year and in March), the temps would have been OK, but the weather/rain could have affected the outdoor seating. Just wondering. Care to share?

I couldn't get a reservation- I asked when we checked in at about 10am on Easter- The CM said it was overbooked by 100%- She said the event planner didn't communicate a limit to the front desk about how many the could accomodate for brunch- so the front desk kept taking reservations. She said on Saturday they sent the reservations list to the event staff who promptly "freaked out" and said it was twice as many people as they could serve and told the front desk to STOP taking reservations. Based on this info- I also would like to hear how it went.

My DH, DD 16 and 90 yr old mother went to the brunch. It was our first trip to HH and we just loved the entire experience. The Brunch was the first one hosted at HH by Disney. It was at the Beach House. Luckily is was a sunny day but it was a little cool and quite windy. The tables were reserved for each family with a cute little flower arrangement. The food was set out inside the Beach house with the salads and desserts served right outside. There was music and quite a few activities for the kids. It was going to last from 10:30-2 PM and in fact was totally booked. We made reservations the minute we got the letter from HH that there was going to be the Brunch.

If it been raining on Easter, I do not think it would have been a good thing. I do not know if Disney had a "Plan B". I do think that the food got cold quickly. By the time you brought it over to your outdoor table it was already cool. The CM's had trouble keeping up with the demand for food. We went pretty early, 11:30. I never did get my Mickey waffles! I think the idea was good but they need to plan for weather and crowds. I bet it will be better next year!
