Great googliemooglies Skiingfast! There sure would be a lot of elk tears shed around here if anyone knew they were eating anything even remotely resembling Bambi! Or if I even *mentioned* *joked* *tried to joke*
tacos would be history here...
It'd take years for my kids to recover...
Pixiewings - I'm ashamed to admit I use bottled coleslaw dressing! But I did attempt something close to Oscar's baked potato soup. I thought it turned out excellent, but I had made it for my inlaws and come to find out they don't like cream cheese or sour cream, both of which I used! Oh well....more for us!
Tonight is pineapple orange shrimp and linguini. French bread.

and got a rotisserie chicken, put it on the garage floor along with the other groceries.......the neighbor's dog came wandering in and ate the chicken!!!!! The dog ate our dang dinner!!!! So when the owner finally came to get the dog, I told her how her dog ate the entire rotisserie chicken, allshe said was thank you for holding her!!!! She left!!!! Of course I silently yelled at her to myself, "AND WHAT ARE YOU HAVING FOR DINNER TONIGHT **LADY**!!!!!!! NEVER MIND ABOUT MY KIDS!!!! HOPE YOUR DOG'S HAPPY!"
My poor dh, since he has that special diet for a week, didn't have his rotisserie chicken sandwich the next day. I feel bad for him, all the stuff he can't eat for a week, that just made it worse. The lady said probably her grandkids left the gate open and the dog got out and I told her more than once, "your dog ate the whole chicken, I hope she doesn't get sick, but I guess she seemed hungry, she must have been out wandering around for a long time and was really hungry?" I even had asked her husband on the phone (I called the number on the dog's tag) and asked him if it was ok that the dog ate chicken since my dog has food allergies - hint hint. Yah, that's how people are here, doesn't surprise me one bit, although I still roll my eyes every flippin time! I can't wait to move back to the "normalcy" of southern California!
