What did you get DH for Father's Day?

I found a groupon for tickets to a professional soccer game on Father's Day in our city. So, dh & ds are going to that. I don't know what the other kids are getting him, they're on their own! lol.

Legos :rotfl: And to laugh further at that, we have three girls. Our youngest is into the new Lego friends and everytime we are in the store he comments on how much he likes the VW Van, so that's what it got. At least he'll get a good laugh out of it.

we agreed to skip gifts for mother's day and father's day this year, and instead get tickets to go on a brunch cruise for the Tall ships bicentennial of the War of 1812 in Boston Harbor later this month for the 3 of us as a family.

That sounds like so much fun! I hope you enjoy.

I got my husband and dad the same gift - a US Naval Academy Cycling team tech t-shirt. The shirts are awesome looking and both ride bicycles and love the tech Ts. I got them from a friend of mine who is attending the Academy now and is on the cycling team.

DH bought himself a new tenns racket.
I made little questionnaires for the kids to answer about him and I'm going to frame those for him.

DH got a big bottle of USHER cologne.

We had to go to Ross to find a shirt for DS to wear on our trip, and DH was hanging out by the cologne. I told him to pick one out for Father's Day.

:)

DD (20 months) and I got DH a new smoker/charcoal grill - which we gave him over memorial day weekend (selfish reasons, I wanted him to smoke a brisket that weekend)

We also ordered a dozen of his favorite cupcakes from our friend's bakery and we got some cards for him. I am planning a little handprint craft to frame for his office - although I better get it done today or tomorrow.:rolleyes1

Last year I bought him a new grill, of his choosing.

This year he is getting the "joy" of spending the whole day with his 14 month old super-high energy daughter. Mommy needs a day off, and his friend is coming in from China on Saturday, so I will be doing a full scale entertainment effort. Sunday we will go out to breakfast, and he can grill something for dinner.

Oh, and she came up with her own gift yesterday when she urinated on her fisher price zoo and her carpet. Who knew urine was such a gift. I washed the zoo, the carpet is his job. Around mother's day she pooped in the bathtub, so I can only imagine the "gift" she will give on Christmas.

A Garmin DEZL 560LMT (trucker gps) for the motorhome.

Hopefully he will listen to this since he won't ever listen to me! :rotfl2:

He wanted the Tony Stewart 3 time championship hat, with the trophies embroidered on the back. Ordered it Sunday afternoon, arrived Tuesday morning! I also am picking up a gift certificate for a massage that he can use later this year.

We're also hosting my family over for dinner Sunday afternoon, as my parents will be travelling back from a wedding in Chicago. Love my hubby, as it was his idea to have his IL's over for dinner, so that means a lot to me. He said he knows that eventually my Dad will be gone, so it'll be all about him then. :love:Very blessed!!

Disney t-shirts and lottery tickets! ;)

He's also getting a Wawa gift card. He gave up getting coffee out in an effort to curb unnecessary spending. Since we'd spend money on him anyway, I figured he might as well get what he really wants - caffeine!

DH is getting a Chipotle gc so he can go out to lunch when doesn't feel like packing. His boss is asking for the same thing -they love that place! :lmao:

Dh wanted a book shelf for his office so the kids and I got him that.

And from reading this thread I got the idea to get my dad the first season of Boardwalk Empire. He is VERY hard to buy for and I was stumped, but I am pretty sure he will enjoy the series so thank you for the idea!!:)

We don't usually get gifts, but this year it just worked out. DH is getting a lawn mower. Neighbor was selling his at a great price, and now DH won't have to borrow my mother's. I think the fact that he doesn't have to borrow is the greatest part of the gift!:rotfl2:

We are making him dinner (the children and I) as that is the norm. Found some great steaks, baked potatoes, and then some sort of green veggie. He loves ice cream and usually I refuse to pay the price to go out for it, but as it is Father's Day the kids will pay for that.

Hope everyone has a great Dad's day as I tend to forget many of our posters are Dad's!

My DH left last week for Afghanistan, so we surprised him several weeks ago with a "fake" Father's Day. We picked a day and just pretended it was Father's day. We tease my DH that he is very much like Clark Griswold in that he would be perfectly happy driving 2 hours to see the world's largest rocking chair or something.

He has been talking about a train ride and the normally the kids and I roll our eyes, but for Father's Day, we got tickets to ride the Royal Gorge Railway with a promise that there would be not one complaint on the entire trip. It is important to note that the no complaining was actually part of the gifts. ;)

We also got a few things to take with him on his deployment. History DVDs and talking picture frames with their pics from the kids.

Just want to say THANK YOU from my family to yours:grouphug: Hopefully your dh will be back with your family soon:flower3:

He already got some outrageous Loudmouth golf shorts, so we just got him 2 Disney tshirts from Skreened. One is gray with a huge PIXAR ball on it and the other is white with "P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney" written on it. They'll be perfect for our WDW trip in August!

Dh is getting 2 dr who shirts that I made for him, oldest dd found a fossil of a leaf in a rock and is giving that to him (he likes that stuff), and youngest dd is framing 4 pictures she took at the state park we all love to hike in. Plus we will eat at his favorite restaraunt the night before fathers day with his whole family and we will make him his favorite strawberry pancakes for breakfast and go hiking that afternoon!

We got FIL a blu-ray player for both his birthday last week and fathers day but need to pick up a small token gift for him to open on Father's day.
