I made my DD a t shirt for the Miley Cyrus concert. I thought it looked pretty good. At the end of the night I noticed what looked like the color coming off of the picure in little places. Nothing major, but there were little white marks on it. I used Amy's transfers, but I am not sure why this happened. I also can't fold the shirt because the transfer creases. What did I do wrong?? I would like to make a few more shirts for DD's birthday party and our upcoming trip, but not if this is going to happen again. Please help

Can't say for sure, but the only t-shirt from our April WDW trip where the color ran was the one that I did not let set overnight before ironing it on. I now let the ink dry 48 hours before I put it on the shirt. This might be overkill, but I'd rather err on the side of caution if I have the time.

I try to fold my shirts so that the transfer isn't folded. This may not work on all designs, but the transfer paper no matter how good it is isn't as pliable as cotton.

I did my first shirt yesterday with one of Amy's transfers and the black Mickey head had white spots on it. After reading the dark transfer thread I decided my problem was that I didn't iron hard or long enough to get the ink into the shirt properly. Today I covered the DISign with parchment and re-ironed and all spots are gone and it looks terrific!!

Thank you for that reply. I wondered if I hadn't ironed it long enough. I knew this was due to something I had not done properly and not the transfers. I will try to iron it again too. Thank You!
