My husband and kids are light sleepers... I usually bring a sound machine with us on vacation. We are thinking about wl, bc, poly or contemporary... but open to suggestions... I was also thinking about maybe looking at a 1 bedroom villa at bc or wl.

Thanks

I've stayed at BC and Poly but don't recall the walls since I was too young, but last year was WL and I will say it wasn't the best for me. I'm a light sleeper and we heard our neighbors toilet and shower pipes a lot. We also heard the people above us although they may have been heavy footed.
One thing I've learned to do at hotels is ask for a room without a connecting door. A real wall vs. a door can make a huge difference. I know a hotel isn't sound proof, but not having a door between rooms makes a real difference.

good point! I'll have to request that next time. I think that makes a big difference too. =) I usually bring our sound machine for them anyways so its usually not a big deal. I just want to avoid a room with paper thin walls =)

I stayed at the Poly last Nov. I'm a very light sleeper. I didn't hear any noises other than the sound of my mother snoring. Good thing I brought earplugs. :rotfl2: I'm sure it helped that I requested a room on the 3rd floor. Since, I mentioned that I'm a light sleeper, they also gave us a corner room. Aside from the peace and quiet, the Poly is a beautiful resort and has great restaurants and a perfect location.

When we were at polynesian, we could hear every word someone next to us would say on the phone. It was like they were in room with us.

We heard nothing in a woods view room at WL. I am not sure if the place was full or not but it was very quiet when we were there.

We stayed at WL and were in a room that was at the end of a hall before a turn and we heard NOTHING for the 11 days we were there. It was fantastic! :goodvibes
