Last year we ate there twice. We went on a Monday at 4:30 and i think we were there until about 6:00 but there was no entertainment. We went back on a Wednesday at 5:15 and there was entertainment. Now my question is are there certain days or hours that there is entertainment for the kids at Ohana. Any set schedule??

Hmm... I'm interested in this as well. I thought the entertainment was there every night until a certain hour.

We have reservations at O'hana for our trip coming up in September. We've never been there, but I am curious now, too. Does anyone know the answer to the OP's question?

the reason i ask is last year we went on a monday at around 5:00 and there was nothing. We went back on Wednesday around 5:30 and there was entertainment.

I ate there on Wednesday, 7/14 for dinner @ 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, 7/16 @9:30 p.m. and there was entertainment at both meals. It is my daughter's favorite so we went twice!

thanks Nicole!

Any other people who were there on days of the week other then Wednesday & Friday?

When the doors open for dinner, be welcomed to 'Ohana with the bellow of conch shells. Experience storytellers and coconut races, where children sweep coconuts with brooms across the hardwood floor down the center of the restaurant. The family fun continues as everyone is encouraged to play with hula hoops and dance to island music.

I was there twice back in May. Once was a Tuesday and I don't remember the other time.
The entertainement is a really made up middle aged Hawaiian woman singing and playing a eukele. They had the coconut races for the kids and then they had the kids choose a loved one from their family to dance (slow) while the woman sang. I don't remember conch shells nor do I recall seeing any hula hoops.
The entertainment was the same each time I was there.

p.s. the singer is really, really nice. I took a header down the steps right outside 'Ohana's and sprained my ankle and she was the first one to help me. She actually lifted me from the landing of the steps with the help of another castmember because I was in so much pain I couldn't move.

There really is not huge "entertainment" . Every night there will be an "MC" who will ask about birthdays/anniversarys. He will get the kids involved in cocnut races and a limbo contest...and maybe sing a song. Thats it and it happens every night approx every 1 1/2 hours starting at 5:15ish.

In the lounge area, next to the hostess stand, there is sporadic entertainment...1 - 3 musicians.

From wikipedia....
Tambu Lounge - Tambu Lounge is a bar with an attached lounge area, adjacent to 'Ohana on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, operating in the evening hours. In addition to a full menu of beverage offerings and appetizers, several resort specialties are available from Tambu Lounge, including the Lapu Lapu, an alcoholic mixed beverage served in a hollowed-out pineapple.[14] Tambu Lounge offers live, Hawaiian style lounge music several nights a week.

The Polys main entertainment is the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, at the Luau Cove (not Ohana)...5 nights per week...closed Sunday and Monday.

I was just there last Sunday and had a male entertainer who came out twice during our meal. He sang Hawaiian songs, gave a hula lesson, and had a coconut race for the kids. We were there after 8:30 PM. If anyone can give me his name (it begins with a K), I'd appreciate it for my trip report.
