I want to take my 3 year old daughter princess: to Disneyland next week as a surprise. What day do you think would be the best to go?

Thanks! I appreciate it!

Tues, wed or Thursday... I don't know EE days but avoid that one... Someone else should know that..

Also Friday people might start coming in for a long weekend due to Veterans day.

QueenRoark, welcome! :cool1:

Definitely Wednesday.

Mon, Tues, & Thurs, are EE days. Which means when you enter, all the rides your 3 y/o would enjoy would have long lines. (& Fri. is more crowded than Wed.)

Tips:

- Be at the DL front gate (on Wed. or Fri.) 20 - 30 min. before opening.
- At rope drop, power walk through the castle & ride in order:

- PP
- Dumbo
- Alice
- Teacups

(take a potty break & pick up a FP at Buzz then do the next batch of rides early.)

I'm curious what others might recommend with a 3 y/o, but i would recommend in the next group (since Toadie, Matterhorn, Pinocchio & SW might be too much for a 3 y/o:

- Carousel
- Storybookland Canal
- Toontown (2 rides & characters)
- Small World

Then over to Adventureland/Jungleland etc. (Pirates, HM, Pooh, Pirate's Island, Jungle Ride, Tiki, etc.)....what do others think?

(By 11am or so the park gets more crowded so you can enjoy DL with many of the FL rides & some of the (left side of the park rides) out of the way)

The key to enjoying your day is get there at Rope Drop & doing the FL rides early. (imo)

Have a great time at Walt's park. :thumbsup2

I can't go on Wednesday my actual birthday, so am going on Thursday for my annual birthday trip. Luckily the kid is 7, so don't have to worry too much about EE messing us up with the little kid rides.
But, if you go Thursday...I'll be the one laughing wearing a Happy Birthday
button!!! Last year we went the Tuesday of that week and it was pretty empty! :cheer2: Have fun.

Yeah, it looks like Thursday will be about as busy as Tuesday and Monday, but not THAT much more than Wednesday. (based on our hotels occupancy figures).

Wow thanks guys! Thanks Hound for the great itinerary! I think we're going to go Wednesday. Should break up the week nicely!

This 50 y/o LOVES the Fantasyland rides (especially the FL dark rides). They're not all "kiddie rides". :)

The theming & charm of Pinocchio, Alice, Toadie, Storybookland Canal ride just do it for me.

(Wednesday is best.....But Thursday is better than Sat. Either way all of you all will have fun.)

Hey...I love every single thing at DL!!!! I'm the one who insists on Toads Wild Ride every trip. It's just the kid...she is suddenly quite scornful of anything she views as for little kids. So, SM, Hm and ToT!!! It's all good.
I first went to Dl when I was 35.....and am now addicted!!!
And thank you, I will have a good time!! Yippee for me!!!:cheer2:

Grumpy, I only mentioned it because newbies to DL (even WDW Vets who are newbies to DL) should know that a trip to DL without a tour through the historic & great FantasyLand Dark Rides would (imo) be missing alot.

I love the big rides (SM, Splash, Pirates, Indy etc.). But i love Alice, Toadie, SW & Pinocchio as well. (& didn't i see you on the Snow White ride, grumpyvet? :lmao: )

Be sure & take a picture of the little ones in Toady's car & I hope all of you all have a great time at Uncle Walt's park. :goodvibes
