What day for Black Friday newspaper ads?

Sunday paper was rather thin, so I figured they be in this morning's paper. Today's paper had two grocery store flyers & a Kmart ad. I had planned to buy the "big city" paper today. Did I miss the big ad day?

It will be out tomorrow..I thought it was today. For some reson I didn't get my morning paper, I called my carrier yelling at them "Where is my paper! I need my paper!! My Blackfriday Ads!!" Got my paper, to thin, I then realized BF Ads come out on thursday..Always the day before.

I see you live in MD. I live in VA, and the Black Friday ads are always in the Washington Post on Thanksgiving Day. Its usually about the same size/thickness as a Sunday paper.

Yep. Washington Post is what I want for Black Friday ads. We subscribe to the Frederick News Post which is now owned by WP. Thursday won't work logistically for me. I won't make a special stop for a paper on Thursday & won't take time from my relatives to look at newspaper ads. Oh well, that's less money I'll be spending. I don't go out without a plan on Black Friday.

You don't need to buy the paper to get the ads. Most of them are available online already. Try www.bfads.net or www.theblackfriday.com. They've been listed for quite some time, and they've been adding more every day. In fact, they even have some of the Thanksgiving Days sales and Cyber Monday sales listed.

Thanksgiving Day is always the biggest daily newspaper of the year.

We don't subscribe to home delivery of the newspaper, but here on Long Island all insert ads are delivered to every house on Thanksgiving morning when the papers are delivered
