What cute things have Cast Members said to you?

At DL on the 4th we were coming through bag check when a cast member asked my teenage daughter if she had any selfie sticks, poison apples, or mouse traps. The CM was sure Mickey would not approve of mouse traps in the park. What little things have a cast member said to you in passing that just made your day?

Old story but a favorite moment. My daughter (5ish at the time) approached Cruella D Ville as she came out for an autograph. She took my daughter by the hand and said "walk with me with attitude". They strolled down the street where Toy Story Mania is now to get to Cruella's signing spot. I can still see my daughter with her hand extended in the air trying to match Cruella's strut.

A few years ago, we just got to the center of Main Street where you could see the castle and I started taking pictures like crazy. A CM rushed up to me and said "Excuse me ma'am, you are not allowed to take pictures here" very seriously. I was taken aback and then she broke into a huge smile and we both had a good laugh.

I would say anything that Gaston says and does. He is the best face character there is. He was calling my little one over for some more time with her and my wife thought he was calling her. Well lets just say he made it known that her ego was no match for his. He is great.

On our last visit to DW, our kids were preschoolers and completely obsessed with the Space Ranger Spin. We broke down and bought them Space Ranger Spin t-shirts and my sister found them little lanyard type things at the gift shop that proclaimed whatever level they had gotten to on the ride. Anyway, we were eating at Pizza Planet at HS one day and they were proudly wearing their shirts and lanyards. A CM who worked at the restaurant came up to us and said Buzz Lightyear had told her to look out for them and give them a treat because they were such accomplished "space rangers." She presented them each with a giant chocolate chip cookie and the boys were in awe--they truly believed the cookies were from Buzz Lightyear! We were so touched by her kindness and thoughtfulness and this became a highlight of the trip because the next day, when we went to meet Buzz and Woody, the twins were terrified of them :)

We kept passing by the place where they host private parties near france in epcot, and the crowds were a bit much for me to deal with, so my friend and I stepped aside. I ended up striking up a conversation with the man there, come to find out that his wife was working the other entrance, so he sent us down past her with a sappy message. We ended up passing 3 or 4 more times, passing another cutsie message each time. The best part? It was Valentine's day.

If you ever want a hoot, ask the servers during be our guest lunch how they find you.

Not actually something a CM said, more of something she did. My best friend and I were riding peter pan this May, and the CM on the moving platform was making it seem as if she was using pixie dust of her own to lower the safety bar. It was just one of those "Disney magic" moments.

I wore my daughters tiara while running to MK to get fastpasses to BTMRR while she was doing a pirate cruise thing. A CM made a big deal about calling me Princess. It was actually my favorite moment on the trip. I may have been 26 years old but dang it I still believe I am a princess too!

In HS during our honeymoon. One of the street players saw our buttons and asked how long we were married. Of course it has only been a few days. When we told him 3 days. He said. Wow. And they said it wouldn't last. I don't know why. But I thought that was the funniest thing.
In HS my son asked the police officer why he had a donut in a case on his belt. And the officer replied. No son. That's a power ring.

This didn't happen to me but rather my newly married DW way back when. We bought a very nice Winnie the pooh hat ( embroidered and all.....

Just about every CM kept saying things like , Do you realize Miss, that you have pooh on your hat? Or Eeww, Is that Pooh on your hat? Very funny..

Before Animal Kingdom had its grand opening, they had previews for onsite guests. Mom, using her scooter because of knee issues, said good morning to as many CM's as she could. One really sweet CM teased her to not pop wheelies on her scooter. Later that day, when we saw him again, he thanked her for obeying his request and that he had followed her (& had others keeping an eye on her too)! It made us all laugh.

The other example is from the Alfredo's restaurant at EPCOT. It was a very hot day. My sister had disappeared into a store just before our reservation time so I had to hunt for her. Then Mom had left her cane and I had to go look for it. Got back just as they called us to go in. There was a fellow who handled the drinks. He filled our water glasses, then went to get our tea. Hot and dehydrated, I finished my water by the time he got back. He refilled my water. I thanked him. He then went on his round of his area and by the time he got back to our table, both of my glasses were empty. He started with my glasses, refilled everyone else's, and refilled mine before doing his next round. This happened several times until we finished. Since I am always one to remember to say thank you, he told Mom what a nice, sweet, well-mannered girl she had( I was in my mid-20's at the time, but looked about 16). We gave him a tip separate from the waiter (who was also excellent), and I thanked him again. He said it was his pleasure & to keep hydrated after I left. Great times

LoL Keep Hydrated.....Sounds too me as if you were drowning...:rotfl2:

We got an ice cream for DD. When the CM handed it to her, she said "now don't drop it, but if you do, you just turn around and come right back to me and I'll give you another one." DD was so pleased and was very careful not to drop her ice cream.

On our first visit as a family, I went to get 1st visit buttons for DH, DD, and DS, as none of them had ever been to WDW before. The CM asked why no button for me and I explained that I had been once before as a child. He said that it was unacceptable for me not to have a button too. He got out another one, crossed out "1st" and wrote "2nd" on it. I wore it proudly for the week along with my family. Just little simple things that make the place worth coming back to. :)

We were just coming into Akershus, where you have your photo taken with Belle. My daughter, age 2, asked Belle to dance with her. Belle was just so sweet and kind with her. As Belle began to dance, the large hoops on her skirt were so heavy that with the momentum of the twirling, she accidentally knocked my daughter right to the ground. Belle was quick to scoop her up and said "Oh my! I can't believe I did that again! You know that's how Chip ended-up that way don't you?". She brought a huge smile to my daughter's face, and to mine as well.

I had a great experience with Akershus as well. I had dinner there after the Princess half marathon in February. I wore my medal to dinner, and all the princesses made comments about it. Belle asked if I saw any handsome princes during the race. Aurora said that we both needed to show off our bling in our picture, and she held up her necklace and my medal in the picture. Mulan also asked to show off our medals. It was just so cool they even interacted with us adult princesses. :)

Last fall we showed up at a FP kiosk for the second time that day and the CM was seriously excited to see us. She was like, "Oh my gosh you guys were here on Tuesday!" and when I looked uncertain (I'm not good with faces and that had been 2 days ago) she explained that we were "so nice to her" that she remembered us completely. I was so tickled by it that we stopped and chatted for awhile. On the one hand I was pleased that she remembered us for such a pleasant reason, but on the other I felt bad that us being our normal super friendly and dorky selves was so unusual and different than most other people she dealt with in a day. She must deal with some real pills.

I've told this before but it may be my very favorite Disney moment...Our first trip, DS turned 4 (DD6), and we attended the Pirate & Princess Party (sigh--sadly missed!), kids in costume. We were on POTC very late, the only ones on our boat and empty boats behind. It was so cool and eerie :). DS steps out of the boat and the CM at the podium asks, totally deadpan, "so, how'd you lose your eye?" If it hadn't been for the moving sidewalk, I'd never have made it up that hill, I was laughing so hard. LOVE those magical CMs :)
