If you had a free day and could eat one counter service at any location BUT the parks where would it be??? We are trying to find a place for lunch on our free day!!:thumbsup2

Downtown Disney. Wolfgang Puck Express is excellent. Earle of Sandwich is also a great choice and very low cost (esp. for Disney). We will go to both during our vacation.

Wolfgang Puck's Express in Downtown Disney. Fabulous food and you get a waiter to refill drinks and bring dessert at a counter service, which is awesome. Everyone's favorite on our last trip with a group of 11.

Wolfgang pucks at DTD or head over to POFQ and eat some yummy greens and pot roast at the Sassagoula Float works. Yum

Downtown Disney is the easiest to reach from any resort, so the suggestions of WPE or EoS are good ones because of the location. I personally like the EoS - love the All American, and they've got some new brownie sandwiches stuffed with frosting that I wanna try! This is also inexpensive if paying OOP. However, if I were on a dining plan, I'd probably give WPE a try, as I hear you can get a nice meal for a CS credit there and I haven't actually been there yet.

However, if you want to try a new setting, try your luck at another resort. Pick a resort that you may not have had a chance to stay at (but would love too), and take a trip over there to explore and try out their lunch offerings.

If you're on the Dining Plan, a lot of people talk about liking the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs to get a lot of bang for your buck - even steak is available for a counter service credit. Just be aware that there's a 10% (not 18%) gratuity for this place because although it is "counter service," it isn't entirely like other places - staff does come and take care of your drinks and stuff.

Happy planning! :cutie:

We did the same thing on our last trip and ended up at The Mara at AKL. We loved the food and the atmosphere of the resort and ended up our trek with some zebra domes. :goodvibes

In the parks it would be Pecos Bills....love the burger and taco salad there.

At DTD....Wolfgang Puck's Express.....oh the spaghetti with tomato and basil.

That is why...such good food!!!

I would also say Earl of Sandwich because in my opinion I think it's the best counter service location not in any of the 4 parks and their prices are very reasonable.

Earl is the best! Just keep in mind that there is always a line and it make take a few minutes to get to the counter to order.

I have noticed sometimes they can get very busy so you are correct when you mention that, however I also noticed their line moves very fast.

Definitely Earl of Sandwich. I ate there for the first time last week and it was fantastic. I will definitely plan a CS meal there whenever I can in the future.

Wow so many good choices..

DTD-WGPE great food and seem more like a TS credit but counts as CS
