I have got to stop reading this thread! I ordered the black beach crocs yesterday. Then, I read about how great the Niles are. I just ordered the Sky Blue Niles from stairwaytodenim.com. The race is on to see which arrive first! :moped:

:rotfl2: It is addicting isn't it--Who knew!

Has anyone found the Niles version in black in a size 8? They seem to be out of them every site I check.
Thanks,
DJ

Have you tried sahalie.com ? I bought a pair of the black Niles size 8 from there.

My husband wears his all the time. He has even worn his to work and he is an executive with a large telecommunications company. Dockers and khaki Caymans, gotta love it. But, a caveat, we do live in Boulder, land of Crocs, so it's completely natural to see lots of guys wearing Crocs. And they are a very accepted, and cool, footwear. I love the "Futuristic" label somebody here gave them.

After reading this thread, I started counting Crocs wherever I am. In my son's class of 22 second graders, 9 were wearing Crocs. At the lacrosse game over the weekend, the majority of the parents (both sexes) were wearing Crocs.

As for the fit, I agree with Dchef. They seem big and sloppy when you first try them on. That is the beauty of them, no tight sides to rub and irritate. In no time flat, your foot sinks and sort of makes its own imprint in the footbed, making them very snug and comfortable. However, I do prefer the narrower Cayman over the wider Beach.

In the snow on Monday, my son had HS swimming at 4:30am before they called a snowday for school. Both of us headed off to the pool in the snow with Crocs on. They were amazing on the snow and ice. And was there ever lots of black ice on parking lot. And as a note: my Crocs are almost 2 years old, so some of the tread on the bottom is wearing off and they still did wonderfully on the ice.

Thanks, I checked them. They are out until the middle of May (at least for the size and color I want, they do have some colores in stock).

OMG
I did the same exact thing--and you know that squaw that came through late at night and dumped more snow causing school to be out, left some slick spots on the drive and I thought I was going to slip (slightly elevated drive) But I didn't, they did really well on the ice!! How funny...you know I wore them out that day and my feet got a little wet, but much of the snow was gone later the day (people don't usually belive that do they :rotfl: )
30 degrees one day and 60 degrees the next--I Love Colorado (And Crocs)

Isn't Colorado Amazing!!!? - and it does make for the perfect Croc weather. Husband golfed in 70 degree weather on Saturday (and wore his Crocs to the course before changing into golf shoes), Sunday it snowed, by Monday there were 20 inches on the ground and on Tuesday my kids were having Lacrosse practice after school because the fields were all melted.

And Crocs are wonderful on those soggy fields!

SALE ALERT!!!

Payless is having a sale on shoes, buy one pair and get the second pair for half price. So, I bought a pair of black Crocs-knockoffs for me and one for my mother. That was two pairs for $24. :cool1:

I got my mom's Niles in the mail today. Hers say M (8-9) on them. They feel so much nicer than my Beach ones, but are still quite a bit too small. I'm just not sure whether to get the 9's or 10's from sahalie. I think the 9's would be too small (& I'd never get a 9 normally). But what if the 10's are too big? Maybe I should order 2 in 2 different colors and sizes and split the difference! Thanks again!

I am SO frustrated that my Payless does not have them!!

But happy I just found the real things this afternoon and now have 2 pair!!

Oh my... is there a Cliff's Notes version to this thread? :goodvibes I'd love to learn about these shoes, but reading 40 pages is a task too daunting even for me! :flower:

We went to one Payless yesterday and I got a pair for myself (before the Buy One get One Half Off Sale). Today, we were in the mall at another Payless and they had these for kids too (the one yesterday didn't have the kids version). I got a pink pair and a blue pair for my twin DDs. Now all three of us are set!

Well they definitely don't take on the natural bueaty from which they came that is for sure

Well, I ordered a black pair in Journeys at the mall on Monday at about noon and they came on Wednesday before noon! I was amazed!! I paid the regular price, tax, and $3.50 for shipping. So if you have a Journeys and they don't have your size or color, ask to have a pair shipped.

I got an email that my crocs.com order has been shipped--took about 2 weeks. Now I still want/need purple, pink, lime green, white, and sea blue. One of my first graders asked me how many pairs of those things I had, anyway! :rotfl: I'm up to 4 pairs, soon to be 5--black, red, khaki, butter, and navy coming.

I am going to chime in here too! On the crocs.com site, you can look up places in your State that might carry them...I was looking into purchasing them online, but found a place 15 mins from me that sells them! I would look into it so that you are not paying shipping.

Just my 2 cents on this wonderful thread!

Just fired off an Email to CROCS. Told them we at the DIS boards need LIME GREEN, now! That should do it, all right... :rotfl:! Really, just wanted to let you all know they are sold out of 3 styles, so if you have a dealer near you go there. And since it is Sat, I don't expect a reply for a few days.Drat it.Don't they know my trip to WDW is in 5 weeks and I NEED them now!?!
Will let you all know any and every thing I find out. Any one get any info on when CROCS will have the new styles/colors/ stuff out? Sooner would be good....
