What CROCS did for me!!

i love my lands' end clogs, but after hearing a commercial on the radio this morning for a sporting goods store that was promoting crocs, i just had to take a look at the site... and then i find this thread... ironic, eh?! well, sometime this week i am heading to that store to buy myself a pair and see if i like them as much as my lands' end footwear... and if i do, well, then the kids will be getting them too!

thanks all for the testimonies... i cannot wait to get mine :)

You will feel freedom!! There was one day where I thought because it was drizzley and chilly that maybe I would try and wear my New Balance so I put them on and wlk around the hotel in them and "ran" up to my room to put on my crocs before we left. they felt tight and uncomfortable to me (the NB) I never wore anything else the whole trip except the crocs. And for those who are "expecting" YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PAIR--where were these things when I was carrying twins and couldn't bend over!!

After reading thru this thread I decided I HAVE to have a pair, so after a little research I ordered from Zappos.com
They have free shipping right now so they were about $5 cheaper than crocs.com. Return shipping is also free if you should want to return them.

Hope this helps someone, and really hope these are as great as they sound!

I ordered a pair as well. Pearl Niles.. I hope the prove to be what all say they are.

I ordered a black pair of the Beach ones from zappos.com yesterday for $35 total, and they upgraded my free shipping - received them this afternoon!

So far i'm happy with them - they're very comfortable. One of my feet is a little longer than the other, so I'm trying to stretch out the strap as the crocs website instructs. I think it will be fine.

Awesome--I use my strap very seldom--I like the way they slip on! I know you will just love them! Anymore testimonies out there yet.

I am posting one more testemonial in behalf of my husband. We got him a pair of Beach Crocs day before yesterday and he won't take them off except to sleep. He is 82 years old and recovering from open heart surgery but his main complaint has always been his feet. His podiatrist told him he has lost the fat layer between the bottoms of his feet and the bone so walking has become an ordeal. This thread got me to searching for those shoes so I am grateful to the OP of this thread and all the others who posted. Thanks so much.

It takes a lot to convince me of something, but after hearing so many glowing testimonials, I found a Crocs dealer here in Dallas. I purchased my first pair yesterday. I have not really worn them yet, but am eager to try them out. I had on pantyhose when I purchased them.

I walked around the house a little bit in them this morning, but am still not totally at ease with them. However, I can definitely see how they would be marvelous on the feet and back! A lot better than tennis shoes!

I also have a longer 2nd toe (next to the big one) so the toe tends to bump the top of the shoe sometimes. The lady who sold them to me said the shoe would conform to my foot once I started wearing them. So I am keeping a positive mind about them.

WARNING ! ! ! The lady who sold them to me told me that one thing to remember is that once the treads on the bottom of the shoe get worn down, the bottoms of the shoes become slick as glass! I asked her how long a pair lasts and she said about a year. She said that she has several pair so she rotates them out. Kind of like tires, huh? :goodvibes

Oh, I purchased the Beach (Pearl) shoes. The lady who sold them to me has the closed toe pair (can't remember the name), which looks like a clog, and she said that sometimes her feet get pretty hot in them. :flower:

Get the sandles!! They are wonderful. At thirty dollars, I guess I can switch them out--truth is I will just buy a whole bunch so that I don't wear just one pair.
Keep wearing them AGGIE--you will get used to them. For some who aren't familar with this style it is a bit different--try them too witout the strap to see of you like them that way...I prefer this.

AUNT JO---I am so happy for your husband. I think those of us who have problems with feet and back really benefit the most--however when you are at Disney I assume everyone has a foot problem:)

I just ordered the Cayman's yesterday. But, would love a pair of the sandals also. Do they have the same support? I have those nasty high arches and need a lot of support.

I ordered the cayman's this am and the nile's!!! I am so excited that I might finnally have a pair of shoes that are comfy for my feet Then I checked my email just now and they sent an email saying "sorry an item you ordered is out of stock" but they don't say which one or how long it will take ! So I guess I am going to call and see what's up. Maybe I will have to change the color. :sad2:

I just got the same email, but I don't want to change the color. I ordered the Caymans in khaki. Maybe they'll be coming soon anyway! :flower:

Yes ma'am. I look forward to breaking them in! Thanks again for this shoe thread!

Also -- where I buy my shoes, once you buy your 10th pair of these shoes, the 11th pair are free! :flower:

Thanks for all the info. It sounds like they're coming out with lots of new colors soon...I'm holding out for pink Niles... :Pinkbounc

Thank you so much for posting your results. We love our Crocs!! It has been the craze at our school since August. Our local store has every color-- pink and purple included!! I teach art and just had to get the purple!! Looking forward to trying them out in a few weeks in Disney! :flower:

Maybe all the DISers from this thread are putting them out of stock :rotfl2:

My girlfriend and I tried to call yesterday to see where we might get some. We'd like to try them on first really. We kept getting disconnected. We said we were in Canada and were transfered then put on hold and disconnected 3 times :(.

We're in Canada near Toronto but could get to Buffalo relatively easily. Can anyone look in the dealers section on the crocs site and tell me if any of the NYstate dealers are in Buffalo?

On their events section they are planning a trip to Toronto but that's not until August. Our trip is end of April and if all the hype is true I'd love to get some before then.

I don't know much about the state of New York so I would be no help there--looks like Syracuse is the only thing close that I recognize. But--It is a local call for me, I will call tommorow and see about dealers in Ontario or close...Always willing to help a neighbor! My brother lives in Calgary so I know how the phone bills can be between our countries--Look tommorow for info on Canada!!
