What CROCS did for me!!

O.k. now you have my interest too. I hate wearing sneakers & socks-too hot on the feet. I used to have a pair of Timberland sandals I wore all the time to WDW & were great. They have now been put out to pasture & have not been able to find any replacements. I have also learned that comfort sometimes wins out over fashion.(especially at WDW)

Now-what color to get.......? :confused3

Okay so I've read through the threads and looked at the website. I'm impressed! I have no idea what colour I should get :confused3 :rotfl:

Also I'm in Canada :( I wish there were dealers here. I'm afraid if I use my credit card one more time my husband (he has threatened) will take it away and cut it up. I've gone a little crazy planning and purchasing for our upcoming trip. All necessities (like kids clothes etc...) but the purchases all at once including the trip cost itself are enough to make him croak.

I saw some in a Wild Oats market, but could not wear them. They run wide and my feet were all over the place in them!

LOL, I bought black to try them out before our trip. I work as a legal advocate and am in court a lot (on my feet) and I mostly wear black slacks with a wide leg. My shoes are usually black clogs of some sort with black socks, I'm hoping these will blend into my outfit and not stand out like a sore thumb.

They sell them at some Hallmark stores here in the Kansas City area.

i ordered the khaki pair. Can't wait until they come so I can wear them when we go to Disney in April.

These sound great. I just had back surgery for a herniated L5-S1, have a history of Plantar Faceistis (sp?), as well as achilles tendon problems. These look like they might be just the ticket for me. Does anyone know if they are sold in stores. Also, what type did you get? I was thinking the sandals for summer. We live in Florida and take many trips to the parks, plus I am trying to exercise more to help loose the weight I gained while having my disc problems, surgery and the subsequent recovery period.

Thanks!

I can't believe that there isn't ANYWHERE really near WDW that sells them. The closest I found is Lakeland, which is between WDW and Tampa at Home Essentials 314 North Kentucky Avenue Lakeland 863-687-2718. Guess I will need to take a trip to Lakeland soon!

I've received an email about my inquiry into purple Beach style at a store in Shreveport. They said that they should be restocked in about a week. Now, if I wear 8-8 1/2(in New Balance), shouldn't I order the medium (8-9)? Do those of you who have them think that they run pretty true to size?

My dad got some of these a few months ago -- he has severe plantar fasceitis (Sp?) and also gets gout occasionally, and these shoes have been a HUGE help for him. He wore them when we went to WDW over Christmas and he was chasing around our 2 DDs with no problems at all!

dChef, what style did you get? i wear a ladies 4. i think i should stick w/that as i have a wide-ish foot. thanks for sharing! :earboy2:  update--there are several stores in the houston/galveston area that carries this brand. oohhh i can't wait til next weekend to go shopping!

Thanks for posting about these. I have CMT (a form of MD), and my feet are deformed, so any shoes I buy have to fit well and be comfortable. I usually wear Tevas or my Skechers, but on our last trip to WDW my Tevas gave me horrible blisters.

What colors is everyone getting? I'm thinking about the Cayman style in black or khaki. Not sure if I want a brighter color yet.

Check & make sure they ship to Canada before you order. I think I read somwhere on the website that they didn't. Hopefully I'm wrong.

hahaha! Just hit the link to find dealers, and one is literally right down the street from me! Imagine!! If they are as good as they sound, they may just solve a whole lot of back problems for me. Thanks for the info! :cool1:

I bought myself a red pair and my DS picked out a black pair today. We got the Beach style. My DD wants the Nile, but our store didn't have them. I wear a size 39 Reg in Birkenstocks and usually a size 9 in other shoes. I bought a size Med. 8-9 in the Crocs. They have them on Ebay if you live in Canada and cannot have them shipped. I've only wore them for a few hours. I'm not sure if I like them or not. They are so much softer than Birkenstocks, which I wear just about all the time.

I have two pair now--red sandles and a pair of the Caymans in Black! Be patient finding them because they really have just taken us by storm here in CO in the last year and now they are catching on. Knowing they are right down the street here makes me just want to take a huge plate of chocolate chip cookies to the whole staff for making such an incredible shoe.
All they need now is a dress show. I'm going to get another pair of the "non wholey" Highlanders this week that makes three--but DD is getting a pair of pink too. I really hope that everyone finds them as useful and don't b put off by the size they do run a little big, but we are so programed to have shoes that are either too small for us and lead to many feet problems or shoes always feeling snug and tight...these are not what these are intended for! I love the bigness of them as it gives my feet room to breath and I don't feel trapped. Don't you just love the colors? Of course I am not too adventurous but these red shoes make a statement I think--I'm not affraid to feel and look comfortable.

Oh Yeah--the CROCS site is a great tool and there are FAQ's that can help with some of your questions about size and other things. go to www.crocs.com and down at the bottom of the page click onto Customer Service and you will find answers below.

Okay, I ordered mine and a pair for my sister. I'll let you know how I like them--if I do I'm getting a pair in every color!! I do so like comfortable shoes but they are so hard to find!

When I wore mine at WDW I knew people were looking--I didn't see a single pair other than mine, but I saw a lot of people sitting down with their feet up--I just kept moving on!

That was me you were seeing . . . the one with her feet up! I just got the list of stores nearby and will see if they feel as good as everyone says. If so, I will definitely get a pair! Thanks for all of your info! I wore my "snappy" Reeboks this past time and dealt with blisters galore. That's what I get for not breaking them in first. These look a lot more aerated, too! Keep the tips coming, folks! :earsgirl:
