What CROCS did for me!!

Hi all-

These Crocs sound absolutely great, I've located 2 dealers
near me in NYC-although I'm not sure how well stocked they'll be
considering all the snow we've been getting!!

I hope I'll be able to try them on
for a true "feel" :earsboy:

Till now I've been a HUGE fan of Merrells (clogs, moc's and boots)
nothing and I mean nothing!! have felt so good on my feet!! :wizard: :wizard:

Clearly they are a different breed of animal (more performance oriented and a bit more expensive) but on every trip to WDW they have been a life saver for me so if the Crocs don't nec. work for anyone......it's just a suggestion, Merrell's are worth a try

I just called our Dillards store and they have them for the same price as the website.

So we are off to the mall. Hopefully we (myself and my 2 DDs) will come home with the perfect shoe for WDW.

I don't think the issue of them feeling too big will bother me. I ALWAYS buy my shoes a bit big. I can't stand wearing tight shoes. Actually I can't stand wearing shoes.. so these sound awesome.

Thanks so much for telling us about them. :)

Where are the dealers sydsdad? Is paragon one of them? ems? I am also looking for them in NY

Okay, I just bought 3 pair!!

From Zappos:
Beach in Khaki size medium

From Crocs:
Nile in White size medium
Cayman in Butter size 8

I hope the Beach ones are not too big. I wear a size 8 in Clarks and Munros and they're fine. I'm just concerned with the strap, they may be too big. The Nile sandals, I'm not as concerned aboutbecause it said they are truer to size and of a sandal is a little big no problem.

I'm torn between the Beach style and the Nile. I want them for my August trip specifically, but will probably live in them all summer if they are as great as everyone says. I'm leaning toward the Beach, but have one question.... Does the top of your foot get hot since it's more 'clog like' than the sandal model? I wear Teva's and Merrell's at WDW, switching off everyday or so.

Calling all experts.....which one would you recommend? Keeping in mind that if I love them DH is going to be mad at all of you!!! ;) I wear one pair of $30-40 shoes all year then spring hits and I get obsessed with buying sandals for WDW.

Thanks!
Kim

well, wouldn't ya know it! found crocs for my husband, but none for me. there is another shop here us that have them, but not the style i am interested in. should have them by the end of the month. :earboy2:

I just got the email from Zappos.com that said they would expedite my shipping and I should have my Crocs by Tuesday!! So, I'll have one of my THREE pairs of Crocs to try out soon. I'll post when I get them and try them out.

Just call me Imelda (for those of you old enough to remember).

My nice UPS man brought me my Crocs last night and I wore them around the house today (we have too much snow to wear them outside). They are comfy! I ordered the Small 6/7 and they feel a bit big (which I like), I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8 in regular shoes. They are so lightweight that you hardly notice you are wearing them. My mom saw them and tried them on, she also liked them. She didn't want to give them back LOL. I told her she could go order her own pair!

Many thanks to all who have posted their experiences. :goodvibes

Oh No! I usually wear an 8, sometimes a 7.5 and I ordered the medium! They may have to go back!

After reading all of the rave reviews, I just had to order a pair from Zappos. I was afraid to order directly from Crocs website since they don't indicate right away if a particular color is sold out. While I was "thinking" about whether or not I wanted to try these out for our upcoming non-Disney cruise, the orange sold out! Had to settle for light blue....can't wait. Thank you to everyone for putting the good word out. Next year I can test them out in the World.... :sunny:

On the fit--keep in mind they are supposed to be slightly big or loose feeling and once you walk in them and get used to the feel (because they are different from reg. shoes) you will walk in them like there is nothing on your feet!! It is the hardest thing to get used to I think but really, there isn't supposed to be a "perfect fit" or snug fit--it is the hardest thing to get past with these shoes but that is the way they are made--FOR COMFORT.
As far as support--it is kind of hard to explain but once you have them and are wearing them, they mold to your feet some how kind of like a memory thing and the support is built in with tarsel bar and orthotic heel cup. If you have never worn this type of shoe or a clog before it is almost a leep of faith--but sooo worht takin!!! Once you have worn these shoes for a few weeks I would be surprised if you find them hard to take off!

Maybe I'm just not getting it here, but when I tried on a pair (one half size smaller than my normal) my toes just slammed down into the front of them and my feet slid all over the place. Are the sandals a better fit? Anyone know which style Dillards carries?

The ones at my Dillard's looked like clogs wiht a strap that you can put around your heel or just flip it forward for a "true" clog. Sorry - I haven't been on the Crocs site to see what the style names are. :)

The person I talked to today said that the Sandals are a better fit...but she gave me an update that in May they will be introducing a NEW Sandal different and better than the last that wil have a fit more like the other styles. The Sandal they have now only comes in certain sizes--so I would say wait awhile and see about the other ones...Apparently they have a few new lines coming out!! As far as sizing goes--I might have been mistaken--I have a wide foot and therefor I always need to buy my shoes bigger. But some have said that their feet swim in these shoes and they need to go smaller. Fortunetly I can try them on which I would recommend doing...Everyones foot is different and some people have a narrow foot and then maybe they would feel a bit bigger. I would say stick with your normal size and see how that works...Sorry if it was confusing...

OK I got mine Friday night. Tried them at the mall for an hour or so and began to get a blister on the top of my foot. Put a bandaid on and tried them again Sat morn for 3-4 hours. Band aid helped but it still rubbed. I am not giving up and will try again. Maybe they need to be broken in a little. Not sure if I am taking them to WDW Thursday. They definetly made my foot feel pretty good in arch support ways but I am not completely sold yet.

I just wanted to say that I wear a sz 7 shoe but in these I got the size 4-5 the next size was too big. I also started getting a little blister on the side of each of my feet, but I put a little powder on them and I was ready to go. These are the best things ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am heading to the zoo today to give them a test run before I leave, just to make sure.

I just ordered a pair of the sandals. I will try them out at Six Flags next month and will let you know how they do.

I experienced the same experience! I am a size 6 1/2 shoe and I tried on the size below the 6-7 size range. It was too snug. The shoes in the 6-7 size range look huge but feel fine. I just wore mine for the first time shopping yesterday. :earsgirl:

I saw these today at REI in Hingham at the Derby Street Shops (not sure if that's close to you or not) I did try them on quickly, but they did not seem to fir me well (they felt too wide), but they did seem nice and soft. I had the same initial thought as you - my feet would sweat and slide around and I'd end up with blisters. just thought I'd let you know where you could go check them out first hand.

BTW ~ I've seen your posts on other threads about the pretty rugged Tevas so that's why I was at REI to try them on. Didn't end up buying them though ~ I'm going to wait and see if I can get them on sale a little cheaper once summer time hits (if it ever does around here, lol)

Thanks so much for posting this! I will definately check out REI. Did you see that the Teva Pretty Rugged are on sale for 42.93 at REI.com in their outlet section but only in a green. Don't you love the new Derby shops? I really haven't had much time to explore with all the weather we've been having but this gives me a great excuse!

Hi!

Well, Grandma came to visit and she took us (me, DD's 9 and 11) out shopping for CROCS!!! We found them at a local health food shop! :)

We all got clogs and LOVE THEM ALREADY. Now, I haven't read the whole thread, but we got ours a little big. I tried on my older daughters and they were a "perfect fit" for me, but I want room to wiggle. They are so ugly they're adorable and their friends are already asking about them....the girls think it's cool to set a trend!!!

Thanks to the original poster...I had seen them before in a magazine and thought they were neat, and then when I read this thread I HAD to get some.
:cool1:

My DD6 also goes to Fireside!! And we were at WDW the same time as you! How funny is that? I have a Kinderagartener at Fireside :earsboy: That's too funny! I'm sure we'll bump into each other near the end of the year :wave2:
