What CROCS did for me!!

They have some new models listed on the website. Athens is like a streamlined Highland (with better color selection) and Islanders are more like shoes rather than clogs. I emailed the company and they said that they Islanders will eventually come in a closed toe as well.

I emailed David at Taylor shoes (http://www.taylorshoes.com/) to ask when they would have the new shoes. He said they were expecting the Aspen in mid October and the Georgie maybe in November.

I like to order from them as their service is just terrific. I haven't tried to order directly from Crocs, but have read some of the stories here about people getting delay after delay.

I will only be getting one pair of the Georgie (they are more expensive $49) so I have a few weeks to make up my mind on what color.

After SEVERAL months of deciding whether or not to purchase a pair of CROCS I finally bit the bullet. I purchased a pair of black Cayman's on Tuesday. They shipped today and I should receive them on Tuesday. I ordered them from the CROC's website.

I am so excited!

This weekend at Disney was the deciding factor. We did Food and Wine both Sunday and Monday and MNSSHP on Sunday Night. My feet and my knees hurt! I wish I could convince DH to get some.

OMG- we saw them the entire time we were at WDW. My sister and I had never seen them before or at least we never noticed them. She is dying for a pair now- I think they sell them at Nordstrom. I'm glad I clicked on this thread b/c I had no idea what they were!

I spent four months trying to get a knock-off pair of these from Payless. (I had heard more raves about the "cheap" ones than the real ones!) Any time I went they only had some crazy color like pink. My friend Phil and I spent an afternoon going to every Payless we could find in Orlando in July looking for them as he had a pair and couldn't stop telling me how great they were. :)

FINALLY, today, I was able to get some. They are are UGLY but boy are they comfortable. I am going back for another pair for a spare before they are gone!

Also, just an FYI, at least on the "knock offs". These ran big, I wear an 8 normally, but ended up in a 7 of these.

That is good to know. I wanted a pair of highland, but hey are out so I have to wait for the aspen. Thanks for posting that info.

I just got a pair of niles today from crocs. I am suprized, I don't like them as much as the beach ones, but they are ok. They just aren't as comfortable at 1st and are a bit more tight. I even think the beach look better, but mostly because I got used to them. :flower:

I don't like the Georgie, the boots right? Post how you like them when you get them.

Word of warning... Wal-Mart has some knock-off ones as well, but they are NOT the same material. They don't have nearly as much 'give' and feel more like the hard material flip-flops are made from rather than the soft foam.

FYI- I purchased a navy pair of Aspens this weekend. So they must be out now. Hope this helps those waiting for its arrival.

After reading several posts, I went to the Crocs website. Since fall is here and winter is quickly approaching (UGH!), I ordered a pair of the Aspens (I think that is what they were called). They are closed toed and I got the black so I can try to get away with them at work. Anyone try this line yet?

Thanks I will get right on it.

I got my best friend a pair of beach crocs for her birthday (navy). She loves them.

Sorry, didn't go back in the thread so this may have already been mentioned...but have you seen the "Islander"? I think it is really cute and will be looking to see if they are for sale locally. Here's a picture from the Crocs website:

Just a funny note - DS6 already has a pair or red crocs (his color choice) but he saw my new black ones and REALLY wants a pair. He has just started public school and is bored and tends to not pay attention and then not get the work done in school. DH told him that if he could get through a whole week of school without any "in school" work coming home he could have black crocs - so now they are a reward!!! For a 6 year old boy!!!! :rotfl2:

I want to thank you all for your reviews and information. DW and I went to our local Journeys and each bought pairs with and without holes for the seasons. I have not had happy feet in many years until Crocs. I did have a little rubbing from the strap button on the inside but I stretched the strap and it went away.

I got my Aspen shoes last week. I really like them. I have the metro in navy blue but my feet still get wet from the sides when it is raining (like today). The Aspens keep my feet dry (unless I step in a puddle). No Georgie for me yet. Wish I had them as I am going to New Orleans this weekend - probably best to wear a pair of old boots anyway.

I know that everyone says their feet don't sweat in Crocs. I bought the Aspens a couple of weeks ago and my feet sweat in them! I don't consider myself to be a very sweaty person - perhaps I am? :earsgirl:

We just returned from 6 days @ WDW and I wore my lime green Crocs everyday. My feet didn't hurt at all. When we went on Kali River Rapids, I quick and took off my socks and stuck them in the center section of the ride. As soon as we got off the ride I went in the restroom, dried off my feet, and put the socks back on. It was so nice not walking around in soggy socks all day! I even had a woman come up to me and ask me what kind of shoes I was wearing while we were at the World Showcase. I have no idea if she even remembered talking to me as she had been enjoying the Food and Wine Festival a little too much. :drinking1

I think that most people are talking about the Beach version. I know that my feet don't feel sweaty at all in mine... I LOVE them!!!

I did sweat in my Metros (with holes on the sides) when I first got them, but I never do anymore even when it's really hot out. Aren't the Aspens the ones without any holes at all?? The sales clerk did tell me that you will sweat more in those. That's why I got the Metros instead. I'd recommend getting a pair of those and saving the Aspens for when it's really cold or wet outside.

Yes, the Aspens are the ones with no holes. So, I guess it's the holes that do the trick. Guess I'll have to try a pair with holes.

I have a pair of Metros that I only wear with socks. Otherwise, my feet sweat and every step produces a little "toot" noise. :rotfl: Not good!

Other than that, I love them.
