What CROCS did for me!!

Has anyone tried the Airwalks from Payless? I tried them on in the store and they are pretty comfortable and alot cheaper than the crocs. I can't decide!!!

That's the kind that I have and they're VERY comfortable. The color selection leaves a bit to be desired though. I don't have a pair of authentic Crocs, but I plan to buy a pair of the solid ones (without holes) for work.

:cool1: I just happened to check the CROCS site to look at colors since I need a new pair of Beach and low and behold there is the newest shoe for the collection, Georgie! :cheer2: It's the boot I'd heard rumor of earlier this summer...it actually looks cool! The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the color...it's the seablue or whatever they call the bright blue...not light or navy. I would much prefer to have the boot in a neutral color. If I got the info right from the Buy online feature, it seems that the Georgie is sized like the Beach. I sent an email to ask if they anticipate making the Georgie in any other color and to clarify the sizing issue...if I get an answer I'll share it with ya'll.

It seems the Athens, flip flop is still in the making...or at least the site says "coming soon". :confused3 It's been that way for a couple of months though and summer is coming to a close...maybe it'll make it by next year.

I've seen more folks wearing CROCS around here since school started at the university and community college. DS even said there's a girl in his junior high that wears them. I still get questions about mine when I'm wearing them...I'm always happy to talk about how great they are for me. I just can't decide on a color for my new pair of Beach...they seem to fit me better...I :umbrella: wear mine for work so I am trying to keep it neutral...maybe another pair of khaki...or maybe a black pair for winter...or navy or even chocolate. I need to run to the marina near my dad to see what they have in stock...they were selling them for $19.99 for the Beach so maybe a couple of pairs at that price. :Pinkbounc

Ah, well, just wanted to share the info with ya'll about the new Georgies. :wave2: Have a magical weekend!!

So, I did a test run with my Blue NILES this weekend, and darn if that inside button on the heel strap give me a blister (a definate one on the right foot, and the starts of one on my left foot).

Does anyone have any suggestions on preventing this at the parks? I leave in 8.5 days !!!!

I had to return my Crocs for the same reason. Other than putting a big bandage on your foot or using moleskin I don't know if anything will work.

Same here, my dear. Actually, I have a pair of the Beach style, but what I did that worked was I moved the strap toward the front of the shoe so it would look like a sandal. It worked like a charm! I wear mine all the time and no more rubbing. Go figure. :confused3

I got my CROCS(Beach) and tested them out over the weekend and I now have 2 nasty blisters on the tops of my feet. Just in time for our trip to WDW(we leave Friday). :confused3 Did I spend $30 dollars on a pair of shoes that are going to give me blisters? Has this happened to anyone else?

See my post above......My blisters went away in a day or two, but now I am fearful of wearing these in the parks. I may stash a pair of my trusty flip flops in my bag when we go to the park, just in case...... :worried:

Are you sure you got the right size? I bought mine a little big just so they wouldn't rub...haven't had any problems, and I wear them almost everyday.

I got the Beach 6-7 size because I wear a 7. I tried the 8-9, but they fell off my feet. I also got the Cayman size 7 and both the beach and Cayman are the same on me. If I got the wrong size then I guess my feet just aren't meant for CROCS because no other size would fit me. :confused3

My husband read about crocs this spring, so we bought a pair for DH, DS13 , DD10 and myself. We went to Disneyland for 3 days, prior to our West coast cruise. We ALL wore them for 3 days and LOVED them!!!!! I have red and blue. DD has lavender and DH has navy and black. DS has black. You won't be sorry!

My brother just came to visit from Boulder, CO - home of Crocs.

A friend of his offered him a chance to invest in Crocs, but he turned it down as he thought they were too ugly!

The original investors got $25 for every $1 they put in. Now he's wearing them all of the time and regretting his decision.

He said that it costs 80 cents to manufacture a pair of Crocs.

I bought some Niles on sales at Taylor Shoes. I wore one pair, and they seemed too short. I was ready to send the others back until I realized that I could sort of stretch them out. They fit fine now.

I also got them before my Disney vacation in August. I was so excited and could not wait. I wore them for a week or so everywhere I went. :Pinkbounc

But on vacation the first day in Epcot I got three of the biggest blisters I have ever seen and could not wear them again. :confused3

I am glad others have had sucess, but my feet suffered all week. I will still wear them but not for long walks.

Crocs saved my WDW vacation!

Here I was all prepared . . . I went on long power walks to "gear up" for my vacation to WDW (I just returned yesterday). I had broken in my new tennis shoes and was ready to go!

Oops! One mistake! I wore thicker socks with my tennis shoes than what I was used to wearing and for some reason, the first day I arrived in Orlando and walked around the MK, I started noticing a blister forming. I was not amused to say the least.

When I got back to the hotel, yep. There it was! A nice blister already in place.

So the next day I put the tennis shoes in the suitcase and put the Crocs on my feet. And boy did they make a difference! I wore them the entire week and my feet were in heaven! Best decision I ever made was to buy them and pack them! :cheer2:

We were at the movies last nite and saw a poster for Cheaper by the Dozen 2. My ds noticed that one of the younger girls has purple CROCS on!

Hey! I was just in the local Walmart where I saw some CROCS knockoffs...under the No Boundries label. Had them in black, sage green, light pink and light purple at cost just under $10. I tried them on and they weren't nearly as comfy as my CROCS. They were styled after the Beach version except the tops of the shoes have diamonds instead of the circular openings like CROCS. Just thought I'd share with ya'll in case you're inclined to check them out.

Have a magical day!

Wore my crocs all week when we went to DisneyWorld last month. I brought 3 pairs - and didn't have a problem at all. Nine days, not even a rub! The best part was, the day we went to AK, it rained in the afternoon (big surprise there! :rotfl2: ), for four hours. Since we were already wet, we stayed, and when we got to any puddles, the warm water just went right through my shoes! Everyone else complained about wet socks and feet, while mine were dry within minutes! Gotta love those crocs!!!

I'm trying to wade through this thread (!), but I have a quick question...

I want to order a pair of Crocs for my upcoming trip, and need to order them soon, but I'm wondering about sizes. I want to order a pair of Caymans - how true do they run to size? I tried on a pair of Beach crocs at a store, and I am fine in a W8-9, and normally wear an 8 (7 1/2 = 8 1/2) depending on the shoe.

TIA! Pink crocs, here I come! :)

I found them to be very true to size. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in a sandal, an 8 in a regular closed toe shoe, and 8 1/2 in a Nike or New Balance.

I have the 8 in the Cayman and they fit perfectly.

I ordered some Niles (sandal) in an 8 and they seemed a little short - but I literally stretched them just a tiny bit and they are just fine now too.

They have some new models listed on the website. Athens is like a streamlined Highland (with better color selection) and Islanders are more like shoes rather than clogs. I emailed the company and they said that they Islanders will eventually come in a closed toe as well.

Thank you so much. That's exactly what I needed to hear. I ordered, and now I can't wait to get my Crocs!
