What CROCS did for me!!

I received a reply from Crocs. I'm glad they let me know the status of my order fairly quickly after my inquiry. I'll wait for my shoes, and enjoy them around the house and around town during the summer. My next trip to the world (after the one next week) will be in December. Has anyone worn their Crocs to WDW during the colder months?
Here is what Crocs said:
Unfortunately we have had some stock issues with our stock status that has caused numbers in our inventory to be correct. Usually when an item is out of stock it will inform you, but we did not know that there were some problems with the Cayman model of our shoes. It is showing we have a small stock in the shoes you ordered, but that may not be correct. We do have staff looking into this error to try to correct our system, but it does take some time to correct it all. If we do have any of the shoes you ordered available, the warehouse will ship them out to you. If they do that, you will receive an email stating that the order has been fulfilled and be provided a FedEx tracking number. If there are none, the order will be left open until we get the shoes in stock, which current estimates put at June.

I ordered my Khaki Cayman's on March 8, got an email telling me my order had been received, then two days later one saying they were backordered and to call a number to speak to someone about ordering some that would be available. So, I called on March 11, left a messege, got a call back on March 14, reordered Beach in Sage, and saw the email that said my order was 'pending fullfillment'. Then, yesterday got an email saying it was all set. When I checked on the status, it said 'pending billing'. But this morning it told me it had been 'billed' and when I checked FedEx site it said expected delivery is March 30. Yikes, that's a long time to wait. I should have just gotten them at the store when I saw them. Live and learn. But I can't wait to get them on my feet. My sneakers (NewBalance) are killing me. Dd, 11, is loving her Metro light blue ones tho.

Yeah, Goofy4Tink, I should have gone out looking in the stores too, but I was so busy getting the rest of the stuff we're going to need on the trip, that I didn't. My New Balance sneakers feel pretty good on my feet, and I bought some extra arch support, extra padded socks from Target to try, so hopefully, my feet will survive. I'm glad everyone seems to be getting their Crocs from stores and other web sites. I envision this thread going on indefinitely, since people like me will post when they finally manage to get their shoes! :)

Me too!!! I had it for 4 years before I got any reprieve from it. It went away for almost 8 months before it came back. I'll check the website too. I also found that ECCO shoes do very well by me too.

Have a great trip making those Disney memories! :goodvibes

I just ordered my 2nd pair . This time the Nile. I can't wait.

Do you know how long the shoe lasts? I don't want to wear my beach model out before our trip in June.

Thanks

Wanting Disney,
I got them at Eastview Mall, and the sales person did say they had the light blue, the color I wanted in a 10. I was at Marketplace earlier this week and they did not have them. Good luck finding some!

(warning, partially off topic, partially soapbox rant)

I'd like you to think twice about this. I feel pretty strongly that it is wrong to go to a retail store to try on an item that you plan to buy online, NOT in that store. I think this is taking advantage of the store. If the item is priced higher in the store, that is because they have more overhead than an internet store. And this overhead is precisely what allows you to try on the shoes.

I buy as much as I can online. I like the prices and usually don't need the sort of customer service that you pay for in a retail store. But if we're talking about something I need to try on or try out, I make every effort to buy where I try. Just my personal code of ethics.

Rant if you will, but if you read my post carefully you would see that I suggested that she buy the shoes she is trying on and that if she needed more, shs could buy on line--And I am a consumer first and foremost and will buy where it is cheapest and it is up to "retail" to make that available to me--not the other way around. This was a pointless post as it was just a suggestion for someone looking for one! Where's the LOVE :goodvibes

I bought mine around Christmas and have been wearing them non-stop(including 10 day at WDW in Jan). I am just now noticing one of the treads on the back wearing thin. My plan of action is to buy several pair and have them last that way--for others you may want to use them just when you know you will need them...although once you have worn them you will find it hard to part with them I think..It is hard for me to imagine wearing anything on my feet except Crocs. I will use them for around the house and in the garden when they give way in full!

Just got my two new pairs. Navy and red from Campmor. Its weird my original blacks feel very loose when I put them on and these seem much tighter, more form fitting to my foot. So much so that the rivit (?) that holds the back strap on rubs the side of my foot where most of my foot pain and swelling is due to PF. Anyone else had a discrepancy in the same size. I am still going to keep them and maybe the side will stretch out a bit. Just a weird first observation.

I found this to be the case when I bought mine. I tried on the beach style in pink and three different pairs fit three different ways. One pair the strap didn’t even come close to touching my heel.
The salesman seemed to think that some straps are tighter then others.

I haven't found this yet but I always buy the next size up from what I normally wear so I don't know that I would even recognize a "regular"fit. My girfriend the other day (while I was trying to convince her to buy some) "look at your shoe...it is sooo big on you!" :rotfl: I said yep and I like it that way...feels like a slipper. :teeth: I will pay attention though since I have another pair coming in from Raise Your Pulse. com and if I find that they are tight...I will have to send them back until I get it right. Thanks for the heads up!

I got my shoes :) I LOVE them. I haven't taken them off yet, and its 40 degress here lol. I got the Nile in Sea Blue. I bought the 8-9 size(I wear a 81/2) and they fit great. :) Im definately getting more of these.

I wore my crogs when we went to AK this past week for a half a day, I love them but by 2 hrs in the park my feet was hurting. I ended up going back to the resort early to change shoes and did not get to see all of the park. I love my crogs but will never wear them to the parks again. :sad2: :sad2:

Sorry :sad1: I know that we all have "different feet" and what works for some just won't work for others--Trial and error. In a perfect world, we would all have the same feet...no problems and they could just customize the "perfect shoe". I am sorry that it didn't work out for you and hope you were able to bounce back.

Well I went back and tried some today, got the large since the medium was a bit too short. However, I didn't think they were as comfortable as the Earth shoes I had just taken off. Put them back....:) I did find a wonderful slide shoe under another brand, though for anyday wear.:)

I was at SportMart today,ok Sports Authority bought out SportMart - anyway, they had the CROCS there!! Only red and black, but I couldnt help it :rotfl2: I tried to talk DS #2 (17) to buy them!! He just rolled his eyes!! :rotfl:

I do have to add, after run/walking to church yesterday (15min walk/run) I was feeling great! Even this morning, feeling good, did some grocery, and other important shopping... came home, and bam.. it hit me!! My foot hurts!! Now, I dont blame the shoes, I blame ME! See, not only do I have the bone spur/plantar thingy, but my feet pronate - and I usually have more ankle support!! So my feet do like the stiff ankle support from time to time it would seem!! I'll just be more careful, and see how things go, just wanted to mention it to other pronating feet out here!!

Ok, I finally get to post on the Crocs thread! I went to a store (Wild Oats, a Whole Foods, Traders Joe's kind of place that I had never heard of) in Hinsdale, IL, to try them on. They didn't have a huge selection (maybe 30 pairs total). My mom went with me and we searched the whole store before we finally found them hanging on the end of an aisle. Oddly enough, they had a decent selection in my size (usually women's 4 or children's 1 1/2), but my mom couldn't find anything in her size (women's 9). Everything was either too big or too small for her. They didn't have any children's in 2, which would probably be my size in those. I tried on some Beach and Highlands in XS, but they seemed kind of big since they're 4-5. (They didn't have an Niles or Metros at all.) They had a quite a few Caymans in Women's 4's (my toes hit the front in 3's), so I tried them all on. The different pairs did fit a little differently, so I think that's definitely true, that they're not all the same. Finally I ended up buying a Women's 4 in the Pearl Caymans.

I think I may need to wear socks with them. I don't usually get blisters, but with the bumps on the footbed (would that be the word?), it just seems like breeding ground for them. However, my feet are a little warm with socks, so I might have to end up trying them without.

I've been trying to stretch the straps a little. It's not that they're really too tight, but it feels like the arch would more closely match the arch on my foot if my foot was back a little more (I have very high arches).

I have a place on the ball of one of my feel that kills if I step on it too hard. When I try to do that in the Crocs the shoe squishes down so it doesn't hurt, which is good. :)

After a few hours at WDW, my feet are usually starting to get tired. Then each day it gets progressively worse. At this point I'm up for trying anything. These were $29.99 (all the pairs they had were that price), so they're definitely worth a try. But no matter how much I walk before my next trip (which actually might be Disneyland in September), there's no way to really know until I get there. My feet never hurt as much as they do at Disney! It's the only downside to being there! :earseek: Thanks for the tip!

Just keep in mind that the material they are made of will eventually after wearing them become more "wrapped" to your foot.It is is kind of hard to explain but one day maybe they might fit a little loose and then WOW your foot has gotten used to them and they seem to become a part of you. I like my on the bigger side, but getting used to wearing them that way could take some people back a bit and not to their liking. Don't worry about the bumps...once you have been wearing them you won't even notice them. These shoe carry absolutely NO ODOR or bacteria so you don't have to worry about them becoming a breading ground--your feet will not sweat either. Read about them on www.croc.com--it is fasinating! I think one of the reasons maybe I didn't get blisters walking at WDW was because I bought mine a bit on the larger side and they didn't rub anything--although my girfriend likes hers snug and she says never a blister either.Good luck and I do wear mine with and without socks. :cheer2:

Ok I have been wearing the second pair that I got from Campmor. The first pair from Zappos fit like a dream. The Campmor feel tighter as I said earlier but No blisters have come of it. Of ocurse I have not worn them to WDW type testing. One thing I did notice was my campmor shoes lost the round Crocs badge from the side of both shoes within an hour or two. Weird. But the zappos have stayed on all through WDW and more. It seems that maybe each batch may be a little different.

Just found this thread, and have to add my Croc testamonial. Of course, we are from Boulder County, Colorado - home of the Crocs and the 3 kids (ok - kids to me - but really grown men) that invented them went to our local high school. So, I have been wearing them for quite awhile.

I own 3 pair - Beach, Highland (solid without holes) and Caymans. I wear the Metros with socks in the winter, the Caymans at the pool (all three kids swim competitively) and don't really wear the Beach very often. I prefer the closer sizes of the Caymans to the larger feel of the Beaches. My husband has even worn his khaki Beaches to work - and he is in upper management at a large Telecommunications firm.

The kids around here all wear their Crocs to school and everywhere else. The "hip" thing to do around here is to swap straps. So, you see a lot of unique combinations of colors with different straps. Our local mall has a kiosk directly from the original vendors that will give you new plastic buttons for your straps if they break when you switch straps. They will also switch them for you if you want.

There are also several very masculine, lettered high school male athletes that own the pink crocs.

I have worn my crocs so far to 4 Orlando themepark vacations. I can walk for days on them without my feet getting sore. They are especially good for the really wet rides at Universal (I know - the dark side of Orlando).
