this holiday season? For gifts or just for your family?

We're making 2 of the no-sew fleece blankets for gifts - but that's all I've got so far.

I'll have quite a bit of time this year since my shopping is pretty much finished - so me & the kiddos are gonna need something fun to do...

I've made one of these for me

And I'm making one for 2 different friends - one in green and one in browns/blues. I might make one for my mom as well.

Our moms club made snowflake ornaments using craft sticks and sequins. I painted the sticks and glued them together and the kids decorated them. We're going to a local nursing home to donate them for their trees.

So far that's all but I'm just getting started. I love this time of the year.

No-sew tutus (with directions from the DIS)! A few friends and I got together last week for a girls night and we all made tutus for our DDs for christmas :thumbsup2

I'm making some wooden puzzles as well as hoping to finish a doll bed for DD5

I'm making a no sew fleece blanket, 2 of the no sew fleece pillows (my daughter made this in girl scouts this week so cute!) A scrapbook for my parents from our Oct trip
and a jar for the DH labeled 365 reasons why we love you filled with papers listing why we love him.

I've made one doll quilt ( looks like American Girl Kirstens) Will pick up fabric to make Julies this Sat. DH is working on Kirstens and Julies beds. Have one dress done and am working on Kirstens nightgown. Hoping to make DD matching one. Have a small chest that needs to be repainted to look like Kirstens. Need to make a matching robe set for a friends DD. Maybe a new fleece blanket for DN with a matching tote. Oh, and have to make shirts for Santa pics before Sat. and I keep forgetting them :goodvibes.

My dad does woodworking and is helping me with a project. He's making shadow boxes - about 10 inches across and 2 inches deep. Inside, I'm mounting hand-crocheted potholders that were made by my grandmother. In the middle of the potholders, I'm putting a small picture of her. She died 10 years ago and I'm giving these to my mom, sister, brother and uncle (and keeping one for myself) as a rememberance of her.

I made some bath salts. I bought a dozen wide mouth ball canning jars and mixed essential oils, epsom salt, food coloring and baking soda together. I brought some in to work today and all my coworkers  them. Super easy!!

I'm another one making tutus. I have 2 toddler nieces who are very into Disney and pretend-play, so they're getting handmade Tinkerbell tutus and wings. I haven't kept mine no-sew, though. I start with those basic instructions, then add details based on which character I'm doing (there are pics of Belle, Aurora, and Tink tutus in my PTr if anyone is interested).

We're also making filled glass Christmas ornaments, some glitter and some poupourri, and photo calendars for my mom & my inlaws.

My daughter saw this at Michaels and when I was visiting her we got the supplies and each made one - since then she has made a few others! They are fun and a bit addicting as well as relaxing. The hardest part was finding the topper - I ended up with a star (that juts out in many directions) from Walmart.

I'm making soy candles in those Mason jars as presents for DD's teachers and a few co-workers. After I'm done making the candles DD gets to decorate them with glass paint and glitter. :thumbsup2

I'm doing something like this for my co-workers. Mine are sugar scrubs:

Take 8oz Jelly Jars (mason jars) and fill them half way with white sugar. Then, pour in an equal (or less) amount of Olive Oil, and put a little bit of Orange Oil in each one to flavor it. Yeah... I'm a :hippie: :rotfl:.

For my music students that I teach I'm going to make flute tote bags so they can carry their flute and music with them easilly.

I canned my homemade apple butter, applesauce, corn relish - the apple butter was such a huge hit last year I decided to expand things a little this year and I've already been approached by several of my co-workers last year who didn't get any who want some this year. I also made snowflake tree ornaments with this year's family photo on the back. I plan to make bath salts for a few of my close girlfriends and lady co-workers. I also plan to make my more of my chocolate covered pretzels rods for stocking stuffers for my family.
