What character dining options are there that are not inside a park?

We are thinking about going to a character meal on one of our non-park days. I know of Chef Mickey's. Are there any other options? I think the kids would prefer "face" characters!

Ohana's at the Poly for Stitch and Mickey I believe and 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. Their characters change between breakfast and dinner. I believe the morning is Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, and Mary Poppins. And for dinner is Cinderella, the Prince, Stepmom and the stepsisters. So for face characters I'd say 1900 Park Faire. I hear that the dinner characters are wonderful, even with boys. We're trying the breakfast this trip.

For "face" character there is 1900 Park Fare. Breakfast is Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter + Pooh and Tigger. Dinner is Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepsisters and Lady Tremaine.

Other character meals are..

'Ohana - breakfast. Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

Cape May - breakfast. Minnie, Goofy and.. I think Donald.

I know there is one at the Swan, but I don't know any information about it. And like you said, Chef Mickey's.

We went to 1900 PF for breakfast last year... we were really worried because we took DS6 and the characters where geared more towards girls. That all changed when the Mad Hatter joined us for tea (literally). We had thank you cards that DS handed out to cast members to thank them and DS gave one to him. Well, The Hatter was so taken by the gesture and the fact that he "Never receives any gifts" that he played with our son for quite some time and paraded around the room showing his card to all the other characters and thanked our son profusely.

He even remembered our son when we saw him at the park later that week.

DS had a blast and when talks came up of another trip this year he asked if he could go hang out the Mad Hatter again for breakfast.

My only complaint is that if you happen to be sitting next to the center isle its a bit cramped and the foot traffic (and occasional bump when drinking scolding hot coffee) can be a bit jarring

1900 Park Fare offers the only meal with face characters outside of the theme parks. The buffet isn't too bad, either, particularly for dinner. I prefer it to Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace.

As others have said, the other character meals outside the parks include 'Ohana at the Polynesian (Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, Mickey), Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (Mickey, Goofy, Chip, Dale), Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club (Goofy, Minnie, Donald) and Garden Grove at the Swan (Goofy and Pluto).

Enjoy!

All of the above are for breakfast only. Chef Mickey and 1900 Park Fare are the only dinner meals, with Park Fare having the face characters. Garden Grove was the name of the restaurant at Swan & Dolphin and they had Goofy and Donald with a buffet a few years back for dinner. I've heard Garden Grove has changed, but have not confirmed.
