What causes arguments in your house?

I’d say money. My husband works and I pay the bills. He never pays any attention to anything and then once in a while he gets his boxers in a bunch and wonders where the money is going. Then I have to show him and remind him that we basically live check to check and it goes to paying the bills. Then he shuts up.

DH shout-talking on the phone on conference calls at home. You can hear every word he says from all over the house. Even with his office door closed.

The spastic way my DH & DD18 load the dishwasher :rotfl:

I just fired my DH from making the bed - not good :sad2:

The 5 pairs of shoes every day by the front door - how does my DD wear 5 different pairs of shoes the same day:confused3 and then she leaves them all by the door. Every day I’m harping on her to take her shoes up to her room.

In all seriousness, most arguments are about stupid stuff, which we laugh about in the end. We’ve had some big arguments in 26 years of marriage, but nothing that’s made me want to throw in the towel.

oops. Double post.

We are having doors put in the room that DH has home office in. for Now, he is mostly back in-office, I hated feeling like I was part of every conference call.

Thermostat temperature. My husband doesn't like it cool enough for me in the summer and it's up too high for me in the winter. And he's constantly closing the windows. We live in the Southeast, it gets really hot very fast (and stays hot most of the months) and sometimes we get only a couple of really cold days.

Not much disagreement between me and DH. We have disagreements with the kids about cleaning up their rooms, taking care of their responsibilities, etc. Nothing out of the normal.

We argue endlessly about the difference between pounds force and pounds mass. My wife thinks they are the same but I disagree. It has come close to ending our marriage. 😀

My biggest grip(s) are:
a place for everything, everything in its place
When I ask for the simplest things, can you please do them without 10 more requests

I'm good unless I start arguing with myself since I'm the only one there.
Goes back to my post up there. I'm now by myself and have both the cleaning up and cleaning up after someone happening at the same time and argue with myself all the time about washing the dishes in the sink, LOL. Boy do I miss a dishwasher but I don't have $400,000 for one. Well, it's the $400,000 container to store a dishwasher in called a house that I can't buy right now, LOL.

It's a simple thing, but taking out the trash. We generate a lot of it, and when it comes time to go to the backyard bins and drag them to the curb people disappear like David Copperfield. I loathe taking out the garbage; it makes me gag. But I do it, and so should everyone else. This causes no end of conflict.
