What category and cabin?

I presently have a Cat 11 inside midship cabin, deck 6, reserved but am having second thoughts. I had this same category last sailing, and it was fine, but I 'm thinking of upgrading to an oceanview.

However, Cat 9 oceanview is available only on deck 2, which I'm not crazy about. We like to be able to take a quick run up the stairs to the pool, buffet deck. Cat 8 oceanview is available Deck 7, but forward, the pool and buffet being aft, where we like to be.

Anybody have any experience with the oceanview staterooms and their locations?

We loved our Cat 9 deck 2 room. It was fun to look out and see the water /sunrise/ port, etc. Our room was just aft of the aft stairwell. The few extra flights of stairs between the buffet and the room meant no weight gain for anyone in our group.

If you have a deck plan, try to get under a not so crowded area on Deck 3.....as midship as you can. There are alot of public areas above Deck 2
but the deck 2, cat. 9's had like large portholes instead of the Deck 1 cat. 9's which had 2 small portholes. We liked Deck 2 better.
