We are going in ***100 days!! Woohoo*** and just recently we adopted a dog. I had planned on having a friend or pet sitter come over every other day for the cat, but the dog would take at least 3 to 4 visits a day and at $25+/visit for both, I just can't afford that over a week's time (would cost more than our hotel almost!!)

So if I don't drop her off at the doggie spa ($25 a day) her in Hot-lanta, we may take her with us and leave her at a Kennel on property. What have been your experiences with it? What's the good, bad and stinky?

Thanks!!!!

From personal experience I would highly recommend you leave your pet at a kennel near home, using a kennel that has dog runs rather than simply putting them in a cage until it's time for their walk.

You will be responsible for walking your own pet at least twice daily if using the Disney kennels and it can cut into your time dramatically when you factor in travel time (think of leaving Splash Mountain area or the back of Epcot, traveling to the kennel, walking the dog, then traveling back to a park and going through security again). More than that, however, is the problem of the dog being caged all day and all night.

I had a puppy kenneled there once and the results were tragic. Not Disney's fault, but some dogs can't take the stress of being caged and this pup didn't survive it. I'm a big fan of kennels that have runs rather than cages. Everyone, including your pet, will be much happier.
