What can we do in 30 min?

For our quickly approaching trip, we have a 9:40am ADR at Crystal Palace. If we arrive prior to rope drop... where should we go, or what can we do/ride in the time before we have to head to our meal?

I've been trying to look for a better time with no luck, so now trying to decide what to do! Thanks!

I'd do Peter Pan and Small World and then make my way to breakfast.

Are you set on doing Crystal Palace for breakfast? Rope drop till like 10:30 will be some of the lowest wait times all day in my experience. On our last trip we made it through most of Fantasyland first thing in the morning with little to no waits (this was pre-SDMT and pre-Anna & Elsa craze). You'll be missing some of the shortest waits if you eat during that time.

Having said that, if you can't move the ADR, I would choose one thing your family really wants to do at rope drop and as long as it's not SDMT or Anna & Elsa, you would most likely have time to ride and then head right to Crystal Palace. The things you would walk past already would be meeting Mickey and/or Tinkerbelle in Town Square Theatre. You could also head to Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Treehouse, or other things in Adventureland as it is the closest to Crystal Palace.

/\/\ This. Much like scheduling an ADR during a hard ticket party, scheduling a meal during the least crowded part of the day REALLY reduces your opportunities.

I know CP can be a big draw for the Pooh set, but it's costly.

Just wanted to mention that if it gets to be like 9:20-9:25 and you feel like you need to "kill time" until 9:40, you can just head over to CP and check-in. You MAY need to wait a bit, but most times when we've checked into our ADRs early, we've been seated realtively quick with no problem. Earliest we've done this is about 30 minutes early.

Well, its not that we are totally set on eating there, its just that I had heard it was a good breakfast. Plus, we are on the dining plan and I'm not sure what we would replace it with at this point.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I would try to head over at RD to Pirates or Jungle Cruise, or Big Thunder, then head to breakfast :)

Have you tried for a late breakfast or even lunch slot? If this is your only MK day, you'll want those early hours for touring.

Last week we did Peter Pan twice and Big Thunder Mtn 4 times from rope drop to 10am... those are seriously prime ride minutes. I think most rides you can do at least once in that half hour, but like the others, I personally would be on rides rather than eating at that time.

There really isn't much else available for our party size that day. We will have at least one other day in the MK so hopefully it will work out!

That ADR is in the prime time rope dropin' fun zone. I would try to get an 8AM and cancel that one if possible.

With less than 2 weeks til the start of your trip, I totally understand that you don't want to mess around with changing ADRs and FPs. Decide if your family would enjoy Fantasyland of Adventureland more. If you are near the front of the crowd you could easily do JC and POTC or PP and IASW before your ADR.

Since it's not your only day, I would take a vote and see what everyone wants to do and do that one ride then go check in for your ADR.

Or maybe you just sleep a little later and get there in time for your ADR.

Or find a Photopass photographer and get some fun shots together.

Or ride the trolley up to the castle.

Lots of "little" things you could do to fill those 30 min.

You could take the train to Frontierland and ride Splash Mountain and BTMRR and then walk back to CP. We do Splash and BTMRR at RD a lot and the standby lines are extremely short. Pick two-three rides in Fantasyland or two-three rides in Adventureland.

Thank you all for the suggestions! Maybe we will just see... if we are tired that day, maybe we will just sleep in a little and then head right to our ADR. Otherwise, at least now have some ideas of things we could do!

I would arrive before RD, head for the most popular attraction on your "to do" list (excluding A&E and Mine Train), do that attraction and see if there is any time left to do something else. I think you can do a few before your breakfast time.
