I know there is a "alternate menu" for kids. My niece will "only eat nuggets". Can I get them there?

I want to have a nice 1st night meal. I love Ohana...just don't have the experience of bringing a picky kid there.

Thanks!

My picky eaters have had grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tenders, both with fries. I think you can pretty much get anything from the kids' menu Kona, though you're charged 'Ohana prices.

Do they charge you extra if you order a child's meal at Ohanas? You already paid for the buffet but if they won't eat that, how much extra is say chicken strips/fries?

We were on the DP in 2006 and DD did not like any of the food so we ordered her a childs chicken strips and fries.

When the food came out, I couldn't believe it. It was a HUGE portion. Way too much for a child or even an adult. We wanted to pay OOP for her meal and when the bill came, I could not believe the price.

It was $12 just for the strips and fries. That is all she got and I was pretty upset. Just be sure to ask before you order anything for your kids off the regular menu so you don't go into shock.

What if the child is almost 2 years old and has to order off of the childs menu, is it still free for them? If the 2 adults eat the buffet price how do we pay for the 2 year old off the childs menu? I hope I'm making sense.

If you order something separate for your 2 year old at any restaurant, you'll have to pay for their meal. The only way that you won't have to pay is if they eat off your plates at a place like 'Ohana or eat directly off a buffet.

I'd try fixing a plate from what is served at 'Ohanabefore ordering off the kid's menu. You may be pleasantly surprised at what they will eat. :)

Looks like they must charge the same price as the 'Ohana child's meal, allears is showing it as $12.99

I said this before, but they charge you the standard 'Ohana prices whether the kids eat any of that or not. There are no extras tacked on, just the same 'Ohana price any kid going there would be charged.

My kids are generally not too picky, we went to Ohana's for dinner and they hardly ate anything, I don't think they cared for the seasoning on the meat...at least they enjoyed the kids games! As for the meal, I kind of found it blatantly cheesy that they bring you lots of slad bread pot sitkcers wings etc, pork and chicken first and then bring the beef and shrimp at the very end. I suppose I could have passed on everything they brought to the table and saved more room but I don't eat that much and after everyhting else they fill you up with well, I just don't pig out. Anyways, Diz made out like a bandit on us! (not on DDP). I like Kona way more, oh well live and learn. :)

I guess that's what happened. I was kinda mad, but the rest of the meal was very good, so I didn't want this to bring it down, but that is just a ridiculous price for a kids meal. Chicken strips and fries aren't all you can eat, so I don't get why they would charge me that price as if my DD was eating off the regular menu and having all you can eat.
