I want to prepay for things as much as possible before the trip. I have some Q&C vouchers, I'll have my passes, and of course the room. I've been putting a little away each week into my paypal account (I have a debit card for that. That will be what I use for charging privledges).
I know food will be our biggest budget buster, so I could always get more vouchers, but my hubby doesn't want to "seek" out the restaurants they are good at. He wants to be able to go wherever and I'm concerned they won't always be a good deal. (please correct me if I'm wrong). Are they worth using in food courts?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks so much.........:D

If you have a Disney Store nearby, consider purchasing Disney Dollars. They can be used for a variety of purchases throughout WDW, including the souvenir and food kiosks and both counter-service and sitdown restaurants. This might provide your DH with the flexibility that he seeks while still pre-paying for many of those vacation "extras" that run up the budget.

As far as the vouchers being worthwhile for the food courts, I think that you may find that using one voucher for the two of you and paying out of pocket for some extras to complete the meal might be the way to go. Check out the menus at wdwig.com for the food court at your resort to see what is available and the costs.

I started a Vacation Club account with my bank...I put a certain amount in it each paycheck...We also save our bottle returns and loose change (I have a bad tendency to break that extra dollar for the $1.06 item that I buy) and that all goes into a very LARGE crayon bank that I have had since I was a kid...anything extra that comes about (ie incentives from work....b'day money etc...) all gets put in the Vacation Club acct...the cool thing is is that you can't take it out until a certain time, so, you don't have to worry about using it for something else...

I like to plan and get the best deal possible. He wants to be more spontaneous and go with the flow. The food area is alway a big chunk of our budget and I can relate to wanting to get the best deal possible.

We did get the meal deal (blanking on the name) at Animal Kingdom. Found it to be a good value for what we were going to get anyway. Beyond that, we alotted everyone so much a day food their food, snacks and spending. Our teenage boys liked having the freedom to decide how to use their money. They preferred eating fast food and spending the extra on other stuff.

I wish they would offer this in all of the parks.

I also opened a Christmas Club account at my bank-when I deposit my paycheck, I automatically deposit a certain amount in it. That check comes out about November 15th (and my trip is December 15, so that works out well).

I never spend change - always break the next dollar and throw the change into a jar and roll it and cash it before I leave. Another tip someone mentioned is that they don't spend their dollar bills when they get change. All dollar bills go into the change jar and they use bigger bills to purchase things. I was amazed at how fast that added up....in two months I had enough to make my despoit at POFQ in cash (well, I bought a money order).

You can prepay your accommodations by joining Disney Vacation Club!
That may be somewhat more prepayment than you were looking for though.;)
