I have 8 points left that are borrowed. I can't transfer them. I have them up for rent but who would really want 8 points anyway? All you can do is stay in a studio at OKW for 1 night.

Because of this I'm offering some of this years points that I really don't want to rent so that someone can make a reservation.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the 8 borrowed points without using a lot of 2006 points that I don't want to part with? Has anybody ever sold for a "rock bottom price" ex: $6 point for 8 points? Could I put the one day at OKW on Ebay?

Also, am I being unreasonable to expect that I should have rented all my points by now after 2 weeks?

:thanks:

Why dont you borrow some of next year's point and take a mini vacation (2 or 3 days)?
Or borrow a bunch of next year's points and take a big vacation.

When do they need to be used by? If you're serious about the $6 a point offer PM me. I actually need 6 points for a stay next month I just don't want to borrow.

We had friends who were staying with relatives in the Tampa area and wanted to spend just one night at Disney so that they could have some drinks at Epcot and take advantage of the extended hours and not have to worry about driving back to Tampa late that night. You might get lucky and find someone looking to rent for just one night who is in a similar situation, or someone looking to try DVC without a big committment. We rented out 11 points recently...it can be done :)

Takes some diligence to find someone interested in only a handful of points. I have rented leftover points out on three occassions. One rental was for 10, one for 11 and the third was for 20. On only one occassion, did I accept a rock bottom price under $8 and those points would have expired in less than two weeks from the date of the transaction.

Just hang in there and respond to a lot of inquires.

So, when's your UY end?:)

8 points can be used for a weekday studio/Adventure or Choice season @
OKW & Vero

6 to 8 points same time @ HH too

only 1 point "shy" for stand BWV

Would think it'd be hard to rent 1 night & last minute availability is probably an issue too...good luck.

I would not be afraid to cut your price if you really want to rent them. I don't know when expiration is, but even $48 is better than nothing.

Yep, I agree. It is enough for 1 weeknight in a studio, and that may be just what someone is short!

I'm just a new "babe" with DVC - just signed up on the Magic 2 weeks ago. We are planning a stay at BWV for feb 25- mar2, our flight gets in late, but do not want to book extra night on 24th (too many points for getting in at 11pm!) Looking for alternative, would renting your points help us?

It may be a dumb question, but I'm a newbie and I need all the help I can get!

get a hotel room with a hotel that has an airport shuttle - so you can still use DME the next morning. go look at 'www.betterbidding.com' or 'www.biddingfortravel.com' - don't post just check the hotels that they list for the airport with shuttles. then you can use priceline if you want too.

or just go with the Hyatt that is at the airport - it is pretty expensive (to me anyway)

thanks for your help! The bus can take you to BWV the next morning? Do you have to return to the airport and catch the Disney bus there? Again thanks!
