you have every reason to hate IE - and for all the reasons you mentioned and dozens more. At the same time (and the only reason I ever fire up IE) many sites are optimized for OR (gag) only work with IE. I wouldn't go there unless I absolutely had no choice.

Mozilla (sea monkey and firefox) for most day-to-day browsing
Netscape - essentially the same as Mozilla using the gecko engine - but still renders some things differently
Opera - still trying - haven't decided
Chrome - just installed - only used a couple of times - so far it's not bad but i really like my firefox...especially with all the add-ons and extensions.
