What brings you to the DisBoards

I discovered the Disboard shortly before our first trip back to WDW after being absent for several years . The information shared was extremely helpful in the planning of our trip. My DH and I were grateful for tips that helped us. That for me was just the beginning.

Finding you all has been therapeutic for me. I enjoy your stories and thoughts. You make me giggle, cry and think. You ask nothing of me. I can visit or stay away. You don't mind when I pop in and you don't mind when I leave. You are fun without the responsibilities. I love the playfulness . Life, at times can be too serious. Ocassionally I have even visited "Tagliarchy Island". The visits are quiet and unannounced. I've sampled the chocolate - very tiny pieces. No one noticed.

One of my favorite expressions is "It isn't the mountains ahead that wear you out, it's the grain of sand in your shoe."

You help me forget the sand.

Just wanted you all to know.

I come here to hear good news, see darling pix of DISers kids, cry for the sad things my friends are experiencing and to ask for advice. I've had a rough day & it feels good to have someplace to go for diversion. (my cat was sick - seems to be better & my DS is breaking up with his GF, who I really like - I'm so sad for her).

I first came to the DISboards like most everyone else...to find info about Disney, especially the Disney Cruises.

I stay at the DISBoards (mainly the Community Board) because it is like having limitless friends. You can share with others things that are happening in their lives, you can learn from others mistakes and happiness, it is mostly friendly here (not always though), just enough nastiness to keep things interesting

This board has the power to make you laugh and cry all in the same minute.

It is a great place to hang out.

I have been trying to find information regarding Disneyland, and came across this board. I like joining the exchanges and also putting them together, chatting with other about different ideas and opinions, ...
There is a great mix of people here that are on around the clock to help you out, encourage you, give you info....

Lots of great ideas and I enjoy the questions and people, it's nice to be able to "meet" up with people and read other's ideas, suggestions, I am always learning something new!

Seriously though I love everyone on the boards! That's what keeps me here. Even when we get flamed (most of the time) people are nice enough to at least explain WHY they flamed you!

I started to get info on DVC and then I discovered the CB about a year ago. I don't know what I would do without all of my friends on this board. Thank you all!!

I don't know how to explain it actually. I come to this website (always the Community Board first ) and I feel serene, comforted, at home and happy. It is weird cause I really don't know anyone here, but I feel like Dan said, we are all family. I just am grateful for these boards and hope the happy feelings never go away! Thanks everyone

Right after our August 2000 WDW trip. We came home after taking the DVC tour. Went on-line for DVC (and WDW) information and somehow discovered this site - not sure if it was through aol search or from an aol dvc board (link). I browsed/read for months before I finally registered. I have been hooked since.

I was researching disney for our first trip ever. Back then there was only one board and you had to click on each reply in order to read them.
I stay because I enjoy the community board a lot and now I am researching again for a trip to the world this fall. Whoo Hoo! I can't wait.

I found the boards while checking out DVC in 2000. I've been around the internet for years and what keeps me here on the DIS is that I think it is one of the best online communities. People get to know each other, exchange information, etc.

I've met some very wonderful people through the boards that have made our vacations lots of fun. We are one the road today to reuinite with some friends we met on the DVC Member Cruise.

In planning for our December cruise we have a very active thread on the cruise board and I've been chatting with people there for over 6 months now. I can't wait to cruise with these wonderful people!

I found the DIS boards when I starting planning my WDW vacation that is only 3 weeks away!!! Yea!! When you post a question there is always someone willing to help you out. If it wasn't for these boards I would be nowhere near as prepared for this trip as I am. So here is a big thank you to anyone who has ever helped me by answering any of my posts! You guys are GREAT!!!!! And hopefully, after my vacation, I can help someone out too!

Like most of everyone else, I found the DIS while researching for a trip to WDW. Everyone was so helpful, and we had a great time, partly because of the preparation made on these boards. I now consider this a part of my daily routine.....
There is always something interesting here and sometimes I find myself here longer than I should be.
