What brand of dye is best?

I have tie dyed many times before, but always with Rit dye, which is not the greatest. I did a search for this info, but didn't find anything. Please tell me which brand(s) have good results.

I'll get back on this one, my daughter's teacher did tie dye with her class a while back and she mentioned that the vegetable dyes were the longest lasting and the most vivid, but I don't know exactly what she meant by "vegetable dyes." I'll ask her when I pick my daughter up today and get back to you!

She told me that she ordered the vegetable dyes from the internet, an organic products web site, but she couldn't remember the name of it. I did a quick search on Yahoo and Google both and there were numerous sites that listed veg. dyes for sale. She did say that the kits that are sold are great, but using the vegetable dyes tied in with the lesson they were doing.

My daughter's she made at school is VERY bright. Fuschia and yellow and green and it's really pretty. It's been washed at least a dozen times and still looks vibrant.
