What book are you reading?

Now reading Driven from Distraction, non-fiction but interesting and one of my DD's is being evaluated for ADD right now so good information.

Just finished Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, very good story a magical world created by the author set in 1800 England.

I just finished that one the other day. I have to get to the bookstore, I don;t have anything to read right now except my magazines.

Maybe it's because you sent me your two favorites in the exchange??? ;)

Anyway, I am currently reading Naked by David Sedaris(it was one of the ones from liamsaunt) and Blessings by Anna Quindlen. I just finished Cat's Eyewitness by Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown and Cary Grant: A Biography by Marc Elliot. I love to read!!!

I. too, want to know if anyone has read any of the Alexander Mc Call Smith books.

Breaking Her Fall by Stephen Goodwin and The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. The first is about a father dealing with the aftermath of thinking his daughter was raped and the second is death's perspective on events in World War II--specifically the life of one girl. They sound so morbid, but really both are touching, and I would certainly recommend both. For fluff, I've been reading the books by Jennifer Crusie. I also just picked up another book by the author of the Shopaholic series, but she used a different pen name; I can't think of it now.

I just finished Summer Island by kristan Hannah. :thumbsup2 I love her books.
Now I am going to start Face of Deception by Iris Johansen. :wave2:

I am taking the book Left To Tell on the plane with me Monday. It's by Immaculee Ilibagiza. I heard her talk on a PBS special with Dr. Wayne Dyer and she was so inspiring. She survived 91 days in a closet during the Rwandan Holocaust in 1994. The book is subtitled Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust .

Light from Heaven, Jan Karon. It's a great series, I love the gentle ways of Father Tim and all the characters.

Bobbi :)

I love to read, and have seen several of my favorite authors and series mentioned here - Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown (I LOVE that series!), Diana Gabaldon, Dean Koontz, Jan Karon, the Harry Potter series... :thumbsup2

Currently I'm reading Club Dead by Charlaine Harris - it's the third book in the Southern Vampire series, which was recommended to me by a co-worker.

Pixiedust34,
Thank you SO MUCH for that website - I finally had a chance to look at it and it's amazing! You really get so absorbed into the characters in this series that it's great to be able to talk to others about. Since I'm only on the second book I'm trying to avoid any spoilers by reading too much on that site, but what FUN!!
