What attractions should be put out to pasture?

Kali River.- sorry I just hate it, boring and I've been on much better tube rides. the theming isn't even that good. just not up to disney quality IMHO

You're so right on. Kali River is so sad after riding Grizzley at DCA.

But I would so include

Drew Carey Thing
Great Movie Ride
Stitch

-Paul

Great Movie Ride, Spaceship Earth, Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous and sorry to all the fans but, Carousel of Progress. :duck:

MK -- Get rid of Indy...it's boring! Also...it's also very similar to an attraction at my local Six Flags...and I think Six Flags stinks!

Epcot--Imagination or Living Seas. It's sad, because both of these attractions have recently been redone. I LOVED the original Imagination with "One Little Spark" but the last 2 incarnations of the ride have really stunk. I like the idea of an Imagination ride...just not the current one!
Also, I have never been a fan of the Living Seas...even with the sea cabs. Yes, I heard that the sea cabs are coming back and are going to be on a longer track...but I've always had a "so what?" feeling about this attraction. Most major cities have aquariums--an aquarium is nothing amazing. Also, if you really like the sea, there is SEA WORLD (I love Sea World, so the Living Seas just does not do it for me). However, I love the idea of a sea-based ride based on Nemo or Little Mermaid. But riding a little car through an aquarium without a story line puts me to sleep.

(on a side note...I'm a huge fan of Jungle Cruise! The fun of the ride isn't seeing the mechanical animals...it's listening to the corny tour guide!)

This is really going to start some controversy....I think Splash Mountain is the lamest water ride I've been on. Granted it's cute and all, and now there's a Brer Rabbit movie out. But water rides (specifically flume rides) are popping up all over that have made this obsolete (can you say "I'll Save you Nell!"?).

The real disappointment was Stitch's ride. That person should've been fired.

Now that is heresy.....

To each their own. I think Jungle Cruise is antiquated beyond measure. That and Indy. But the kids love :confused3

I think Indy - either it should go, or they should make it so that younger kids can reach the pedals and drive the cars.

Everyone seems to hate Jungle Cruise - I love it

The Snow White Ride aint so great though - why did they have to make it so scarey for the preschoolers?

Haven't tried the new version of Alien Encounter yet - is it really that bad?

Snow White-how many little kids have to be scared out of their wits-just plain stupid.

Tiki Birds-what a waste of time.

Yes, I agree too -- Jungle Cruise and Indy needs to go.

I like Snow White. They should just have more warnings for kids.

Tiki Brids is great on a hot day.

FWIW, my kids (8 & 6) love SWSA. We have to ride it multiple times every time we visit. DW likes it too, but I can take it or leave it.

I second your vote for the Tiki room. I never saw the original, wish I had.

I also think the Swiss Family Treehouse is a waste of space.

Stitch-stupid, explains it all!
Snow White- too scarey for the kids
Country Bears
Jungle Ride
Tiki Room

Drew Carey
I can't say Indiana Jones or Backlot or Star Tours, because DS loves those. Actually I liked Star Tours.

Primevil(sp?)whirl at AK, you know the twisty type coaster ride. Its pretty lame. I'm glad I didn't wait a long time to ride it. Too short and you hardly spin. We have a ride like it at our local amusement park, Kennywood, and its loads better.

Indy?? While I may not want to go back and see it again, it is still a good show and there are many people who have not been to Disney since 89 to see it. It still draws big crowds, so forget it. Jungle Cruise definitely, very outdated. I didn't care for Stitch either, but it's probably to new to be done away with. I don't really like the Tiki room, but of course everything is personal, because I know people who love it. I just go on my favorites and new things and if were there with someone who hasn't been in a while, see the things they want, even if we don't care for it.

Tomorrowland Speedway race cars. Especially with Test Track at Epcot these things are just so dated.

Not the Speedway! I know for adults it's pretty lame, but to me, it's meant for kids who want to "really drive a real car"! With so many of the Fantasyland rides being a little too dark and scary for little ones, I think they need more rides like this one, that preschoolers can enjoy.

What do they need to get rid of? Country Bears. Jungle Cruise just needs to be updated, and Tiki Room just needs to go back to the original.

You know there was a "Brer Rabbit" movie out a very long time before Splash Mountain ever opened, right? It's called "Song Of The South" :rotfl:

Another vote for Sounds Dangerous. And I agree that Kali was super disappointing. They didn't bothere explaining the theme very well and it wasn't very exciting.

i agree-indy is old-they already have the stunt car show-get rid of drew carey-biggest waste of time in the parks. I rode jungle cruise for the first time-lame! I thought kali river was fun but they could do so much more with it. :flower:

I miss the original Snow white with the peeping queen at the begining.. and the witch jumping out at you left and right.

the new name is Snow Whites Scary adventure.. if thats not a cue to you parents.. what is?

but my vote goes for Star Tours. Something much more entertaining and useful can be put there.. but motion movie rides are a thing of the past. they didn't last long and their realism faded fast.

Indiana jones is boring to my family.

My kids and DH loathed the stitch ride.

sounds dangerous is lack luster.

Primeval whirl is pretty awful and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it.

I think indy speed way is in need of a serious overhaul. The cars are very hard to drive.

I guess i'm one of the few that likes primevil whirrl. granted i don't think it really fits into the dinosaur area very well. it should have been put in a more remote corner of the area.
