What attractions should be put out to pasture?

star tours is very dated, it should be re done to go with the new ,movie or turned into somthing else.

I also hate pooh ride

When we were there in August, the boat captain, that was taking us to MGM said........ You all better get to Indiana Jones as soon as you can, because they will be closing it and putting in a ride............ but thats all she said, so I dont know, what ride. Would love to find out.

The stunt show ain't going anywhere for quite a while. still very popular with new guests.

They are going to be putting something in where Sounds DAngerous is.

In MK, jungle cruise and indy are outdated and take up too much space. That much space could house a major ride and provide more park/play areas like Pooh's play place or Honey I shrunk the kids play area in MGM.

MORE play area's?? I think there are more than enough of those in WDW...especially at MK which already has 3 (Tom Sawyers Island, Pooh's, and Mickeys Toontown) Leave the play area's at the resorts.

Besides that, we may have seen/been on these rides dozens of times but children haven't and when they do they find the same enjoyment we did as children. HoP and CoP both got the "are those real people" question from my son and if they are still there when he has kids then it will most likely get the same question from them. If our amazement is gone then it's because we have grown up and that's our own fault.

No flames here..I think you hit it right on the head.

As for the pasture, send Stitch's Great Escape there.

Great Movie Ride - MGM
Small World - MK
Muppet 3d show - MGM

Once is enough on GMR and SW - Muppet show looking very dated now, especially when compared to the likes of Shrek at Universal.

I have to agree with you on the Muppet 3D show. I still like the idea but the movie itself is very dated. They could redo it and make it look as good as Mickey's Philharmonic(?).

I loved the original Tiki Birds, and hate it now that it's all dark and smoky. So Tiki Birds gets my vote.

Apparently, I'm in the minority, but I'm used to it so here it goes.

I actually liked Stiches Great Escape! My son loves the character and actually gets a kick out of it when adults don't like it. He seems to think it's an attraction to trick adults. He can't stop laughing when he thinks about all of the adults gagging on the smell of those chili dogs.

I just thought it was sort of funny. I think the biggest mistake was Disney hyping it as if it was an E-ticket attraction... it's not.

I guess I like it because it's so un-Disney.

The speedway should be updated or more Disney themed. At the toy stores they sell Disney character cars so they need to maybe decorate the speedway cars like the toy cars. At least the the cars would enchant the little ones.

How about one that wasn't mentioned Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland. That one is a real oldie too.

It's one thing to say "get rid of el rio del tiempo" another to give a good case as to why.

My vote is for "Peter Pan." The animatroics are of low quality with little to no movement. The flyover of London, last time I rode, was dusty and showing wear and tear. In the Neverland flyover you can see the floor and curtians, which gives me the feeling of flying through a vast warehouse. The best thing is to tear it down and replace it with a new Peter Pan ride.

Not the Speedway! I know for adults it's pretty lame, but to me, it's meant for kids who want to "really drive a real car"! With so many of the Fantasyland rides being a little too dark and scary for little ones, I think they need more rides like this one, that preschoolers can enjoy.

Preschoolers can't drive, though; there's a height requirement. I think that the basic premise of the ride is good, it is the execution that is a disaster.

First off, a kiddie-car ride should be one where THEY can actually sit in the driver's seat and steer their little hearts out, pushing the pedals and making lots of cool car noises. Why, oh, why are the cars not electric? The noise and fumes from those lawmower engines mess up the atmosphere of that side of the park, and the track should be laid out with more curves so that it doesn't take up so much valuable real estate. Autopia at DL is a MUCH better design.

Ok, I have to chime in again. I'm the OP, but after reading some of yours, I have to also agree that El Rio del Tiempo needs some serious help. I still love to ride it because it reminds me of ASW, and I like the part where the boats pass the restaurant, but honestly, how difficult can it be to find some more up-to-date footage that doesn't resemble horribly directed Red Hot Chili Peppers videos?

I want to say the Treehouse, but I suffered that climb as a kid, and therefore so too shall my children.
:flower:

how did you get your name in glitter like that? I have been trying to find that link for the longest time. I really love it.

Tiki Room can go...i don't care if it has the first ever animitronics ever!!!!! it really is a waste of space....NO ONE goes in their. Last year i took the time to observe the queue and i saw the preshow like 3 times. no one showed up.

Now I know that it may be a moderately well liked attraction, but The Land (at least as it is now, really they should just bring back Kitchen Kabaret!!!)

52" to drive alone. No height requirement to ride, and although they can't reach the pedals at toddler/preschool ages, they sure love steering it!

I completely agree though, that the cars ought to be electric, and the whole thing could use an update and some more theming.
