What Attractions Can Be Missed?

We've got one day to see the best of Sea World. Are there any shows or exhibits that can be missed? Of course, we're going to see Shamu and feed the dolphins, but other that the big shows, where can I cut time? We won't be riding Kraken either (kids hate going upside down) so that should save some time right there.

We actually didn't see any of the shows at all, and we ended up going for a day and a half (with a break at midday). So I would vote for missing the shows - we had a great time feeding sea lions, rays (eeeew!), and the dolphins at the end of the day - MOBBED at first feeding. We enjoyed the polar tour, the manatees (because they're my FAVORITE). I suppose the penguin area wasn't super great, because we were going on the tour and were going to pet a penguin. There's also the clydesdales you might want to skip, and there's a large section of small kids rides in the rear right side of the park that you could skip.

When you go in, head straight toward dolphins and see what time the feeding is. If there's not TOO much of a line, you should do them first since they're hungriest then. Later in the day go back to the rays (which you'll run by to get to the dolphins), since they'll always eat. The sea lions are way up so try to fit them in, but I'm pretty sure feeding the dolphins is def. the busiest.

Have fun!

We visited every attraction and show when we were there in February other than the little kiddie rides. We managed to do every single thing that day as well as a nice break for lunch and the beer tasting session. We did everything in 1 day. I guess it depends on the time of year but I think this is easily doable.

If you're going on a day with both Shamu Rocks and Believe, only go to Shamu Rocks. The shows are similar enough that you don't need to go to both. I would also recommend getting the unlimited counter service meal option (if it is still available) instead of doing the Shamu Dinner buffet because that takes up a good amount of time.

We thought the Clyde & Seamore show was pretty lame. As a PP stated, the animal exhibits are a lot better than the shows.

The ulimited dining experience is no longer being offered at SeaWorld.

Tower, pearl divers, pet show can all be skipped.

I'll miss Odyssea more than any of the other shows.

Really? Because they definitely had it last Friday, 10/24.

Yes but it was my understanding that it's ending soon or by the end of the year at least. I could be wrong but I remember someone posting about that somewhere on this board.

Skip the show at Seaport Theatre. Believe is not all everyone says it is, I personally would skip that one but have had to watch it plenty of times...not by choice...I like Blue Horizons and Clyde and Semour though. Especially Sea Lions Tonight during the summers and Shamu Rocks. If you are not going to feed the dolphins skip that area as they all crowd around the feeding area so you won't get to see them up close like it once was...sigh. They have some dolphins at the dolphin nursery which is less crowded.

Yes, but if you aren't going to feed them and still want to see them and touch them, you just have to walk past the feeding area. The majority of the perimeter is free for those not participating in feeding. Also, don't they only feed during certain times, anyway?

You could do that but the last few times I have been there it was super crowded and the dolphins were not interested if you weren't feeding them and I was not visiting at peak times as I have a family pass. You can also go to underwater viewing. My hubby got a cute picture of them playing with their enrichment toys one day. It's hit or miss there I suppose.

We had no problem touching and playing with the dolphins and we weren't feeding them. I guess it just depends on when you go.

Hey,

I'm headed to Sea World next July... what are the lines like? Can we still do the shows and rides and everything in one day?

In my opinion, no. The summer season is busy at the parks and Manta will hopefully be open by then so there will be a crowd for that one. I can't wait!
