What attraction do you feel is in most need of refrubishment/rehab?

I think Sounds Dangerous is in need of a major refurb/rehab, not necessarily to change the show but to clean up the theater/attraction and maybe add some things. My daughter really liked this show, especially the post show area where you could record your voice with a video track and play it back, and I enjoyed it as well. Unfortunately it's showing it's age and though I like the concept associated with it, but I think it should be refurbished. I really didn't like the idea of putting on headphones that god knows who have been wearing, seats like the ones in stitch would have been better. I like the concept of the attraction, but it needs renovation in a big way.

Splash mountain is one of the most popular rides at the World and it was in bad shape while I was there last week. The scene were Brer Rabbit hops along side you was NOT working, one of the fishing scenes was dead, a lot of the water pumps in the flood sequence were not running, and there was this HUGE nasty tear in the background material during the grand finale. I could even see this tear from the Train while riding through the mountain...BAD SHOW!! They need to get this ride up to snuff...I was somewhat dissapointed. BTMRR was looking great next door....yes, it's less complicated but it looks solid and is super OLD.

Of course, Space Mountain needs a major update just as they are doing at the other parks. It's really dated but still super fun and always on the top of my list.

The Haunted Mansion also needs some work. The speakers in the cars are fried. Everytime I got on it, I pratically had to press my head to the back of the cab in order to hear the ghost host. The soundtrack kept cutting out as well. I noticed a number of other things that were not working correctly either...more than 4 of the pop-up heads that scream at you were not screaming...it looked kinda cheap when the things would just pop up in silence.

Pirates seemed to be running just fine in all aspects...I was happy about that.

Peter Pan's Flight had two major things wrong with it while I was there....Tinker Bell was not randomly fluttering behind the loading area and Peter's shadow wasn't flying out the window with the ride vehicle. BAD SHOW again. Those two things are two of the most memorable aspects of that attraction for me besides the flight over London at night. E.T. over at Universal puts this same type of ride to shame...BIG TIME. I am sure they could put some updated AA characters into this ride and add some fiber optics in order to freshen things up a bit.

Over at EPCOT, Ellen needs some work. The rain was not flowing over the opening dino scene and the smell of sulfur was not present. I also hear the building is suffering from some damage...roof leaks and such.

The Journey ride was a major dissapointment for me. This last trip was the first time I have seen it since the original was shut down. The new version felt cheap and the story was just weak. What a bore it was. No magic there at all. The finale where the wall falls away showing the big scene at the end was pretty cool...that's about it. HISTA is tired and dated as well...Bah, that whole pavillion needs work.

I think MGM and AK are solid...no problems there in my opinion except for the fact that the AK needs more headiner attractions to draw better crowds. Hello Expedition Everest!!! Yes, there are some shows at MGM that could be done better...but they are what they are. Nothing is falling apart. They need to remove the Indiana Jones Stunt show and replace it with a ride similar to the ones in Cali and Tokyo's DisneySea. I think we may see that along with a Muppet dark ride sometime within the next 5 years....what a HUGE treat that would be...I think those two additions would put MGM on the top of my list with the MK if that were done.

To which I would add Carousel of Progress. But I wouldn't expect this attraction to be upgraded, as I have a feeling that it is on the WDW elimination list, first chance they get.

Our last trip to MGM (Sept. 04) was in between two hurricanes, so I cut them a whole lot of slack. However, we had no rocknroll on the rocknroller coaster.

Indiana Jones needs to be updated or just closed. It had a long run and it is time to let it go. Theres only so many times they can trick the audience into thinking that they are beating up a "real audience member."

Keep in mind BTMRR just went through a major refurbishment in late 2003. Splash Mountain did have some parts that weren't working, I didn't hear those birdies singing at the beginning after the first little drop and that is my favorite part! Parts of the soundtrack weren't working throughout the ride and that was a bummer since the music is one of the best parts. Splash is still one of my very favorite rides though, even without the birdies! Carosaul(I can't spell) of Progress needs to stay, it's updated to the present and one of my favorite attractions, I was glad it was open when I went in April. On the upside Small World looks great!

I think and so does my DD that they should put in it's place the same ride they have a DL. The Indiana Jones ride there is great, last time we were there we went about 5 times. Love that ride :moped: .

I think Peter Pan's Flight needs it bad. The ride is pretty grungy inside. The animatronics and sets need to be repainted.

I think the Haunted Mansion audio needs some work. The speakers in the cars don't always work right and there are many pops and squeaks in the recording.

I really think the backstage tour at MGM needs help. The sets and props on the lot haven't been updated in a long time. It would be nice to see some new things.

The last time I saw Muppetvision I thought the film looked a bit faded. I felt like it needed to be brightened up or sharpened. Hard to put a finger on it. Same with Honey I Shrunk The Audience. Maybe it is just my weird vision.

I wish the logs on Splash Mountain would be disinfected. At least the rubber hand rests. They are so gross and smelly. They need a good scrubbing. I realize the humidity and wetness is cause for it, but it is really nasty. Have you ever smelled your hands after riding? Gross.

I think the films in Canada and France need to be updated.

For some reason I think the Canada film is being updated soon...don't know where I got that from, so I would treat it as a rumor rather than fact!

How about El Rio del Tiempo? This ride looks like a cheap tourism ad for Mexico. Something should be done.

Spaceship Earth, Fantasyland, Grand Prix Raceway, Space Mountain, Universe of Energy, El Rio Del Tiempo, Sounds Dangerous, Indiana Jones, and World Showcase (let's change some of the Countries out to something new). Just my opinion though.

1. MGM Backlot tour needs some more updated, "exciting" things. It actually had less interesting things last year than it did when it first opened.

2. Country Bear Jamboree. DS absolutely loves the Country Bears movie, but when we went to the attraction, at the beginning of the show, he said "who are they, they're not the Country Bears?" and he is only 3! (He still enjoyed it though.) You have to admit those bears are very low tech.

3. Journey Into the Imagination. Please, put it back to how it originally was!

4. The tea cups. Still fun, but they really are looking OLD. Need some cleaning, fresh paint, etc.

The Mexico boat ride has needed an update for YEARS....who knows if they will ever do crap about this bore of a ride. At least, the village at night theming has been done so well...this really keeps the Mexico pavilion a viable force.

The one that sticks out most to me is Space Mountain. Ok, I know, I know... it's a classic... but it's just too darn jerky for me to ride it more than once or twice a trip. They don't have to make it a "mega-super-inversion" coaster. In fact, I would like to see them keep a similar sort of tracl, but make the ride smoother somehow.

A few others... Splash Mountain could use a rehab to fix up the animatronics, Star Tours needs a new film and updated projection system, and the Backlot Tour needs some serious help.
