What are your summer plans?

I'll be in night classes Monday-Thursday for all of June and July. Not looking forward to that AT ALL!

We're tossing around a long weekend in San Antonio before the kids go back to school in mid-August. DS4 will be starting kindergarten. :sad1:

Paris, Normandy, Brittany, and St. Malo in July!

WDW in August!

I'm so stoked.

Separate vacations at my house this year. DD is going to Japan, then off to college at the end of the summer. DH and DS will be touring around Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico for a couple of weeks. I'll probably take a week off from work and putter in my garden.

Not much of anything....YAY!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I am only working 1 day a week (Wednesdays). The other days will be spent at the zoo, pool or library. We will do VBS at church the 2nd week of June, and our big Disney vacation is still planned for mid-late July.

Not sure I'm looking forward to it, but I'll be 40 this summer just before the 4th. :scared1: Love the 4th celebrations they have here. We have a 3 day festival which is lots of fun!!!

Later this summer I will be meeting up with some friends that should be lots & lots of fun!!!

ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
....and going to WDW for the first 2 weeks of July!

Due to snow days, DS will be in school 'till the 20th of June. Then he starts Swim Team on the 23rd... which is 1.5 hours per day, 4 days a week, for six weeks. So, I guess I'll be hanging out a lot at the lake where Swim Team practices.

We also have season tix this year to the local amusement park and hope to go there several times.

Throw in the local 4th of July fireworks and our town's Country Fair and that'll pretty much cover my summer.

This summer I will only be taking one class: English. I usually take 2 classes, but I am taking it easy this summer because I want to work a little a more yet also have time to travel. Then I will only need to finish up 5 more classes until I can transfer to ODU.

Summer trips include: Seattle (to visit my and my husband's family), the wonderful city of Baltimore (my husband works there), and Ocean City. Of course, "playing tourist" in our home state, too. ;)

Other plans include: continue making home improvements and working on the yard (ie upgrading our playground, putting in a patio, etc.), organizing our garage better, exercising more outdoors, and having fun with my son since he starts kindergarten this year, too. :goodvibes

We leave for Amsterdam on my birthday mid June. Smallest DD's birthday is three days later and she'll be turning four at my in-laws in France, super excited about that one. The next day we start driving south to see real castles and then spend a week "camping" in the south of France for a week. Head back north then head down to Paris and on to DLP. DH is coming home on the 4th and the rest of us come home at the end of July.

Then I get to spend the rest of summer freaking out about the fact that I'm not old enough to have a junior high student.

We're doing a 4 day camping trip and Nascar Race in June, other then that, probably some day trips.

Memorial day weekend we are headed to Lancaster, PA to take the kids to Dutch Wonderland and we'll probably head to Hershey to do Chocolate World. Who knows what else we'll do when we get to Lancaster.

June we'll do a lot around home...my mom's pool, my grandmom's pool, hit the beach, etc.

July, more of that plus the state fair at the end of the month!! We LOVE fair week!

August, the first weeks DS7 is going to a family bible conference with my grandparents, cousins, some aunts and uncles, in NJ, the next week is VBS at our church and who knows what else that month. I think school is starting after Labor Day this year.

Going to Disneyland in June, and on a cruise to Alaska in August. We also like to take day trips to Banff National Park, we will do that a few times this summer.

and on a cruise to Alaska in August.

Oh, August is such a nice month to do Alaska, we went on a cruise in 2005 and it was hot and sunny everyday.. more like a Caribbean cruise than an Alaskan one :rotfl: I didn't use any of the sweaters and jackets we brought, everyone was in shorts and summer dresses :goodvibes

We leave on May 24th along with 7 other families from our cub scout pack to go to Washington DC for Memorial Day weekend ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery. We will tour DC, The Capital, The White House, National Zoo, Smithsonians, and whatever else we can squeeze in.

Come home and get a week to unpack and repack.

Leave June 4th for Mickey P&PP that evening. Will be in WDW through June 15th. Going to Star Wars Weekend while there and have breakfast with Chef Mickey.

July 3rd, there is always a concert and fireworks show at Coolidge Park we generally pack a lot of picnic stuff and outside games, and toys and head over around 1 or 2 PM to hang out all day into the evening.

Sometime in June or July we will squeeze in zoo camp for DS.

July 19th - Birthday party for DS.

August 1 & 2 - DH & DS will be going to Promise Keepers in Atlanta.

August 14th - 18th - Going to NY to see the Yankees play and sight see as much as possible.

Will be back to school that following week.

August 30 - September 1 - DH & DS will travel to Charleson SC to stay aboard the USS Yorktown for the weekend, visit Fort Sumter, this is a Scout activity. Will be our last official involvement with the Cub end of scouts.

It's going to be a busy but fun summer!!!!!

I will be traveling to WDW in July for 7 days. But first me and my Family and Girlfriend will be going to Savannah GA for a Family Reunion Then it's off to Walt Disney World for some R & R:thumbsup2

This July I am going to give birth to my first baby, so we are not going anywhere but I am very excited!

Since we don't have school age children, we try to travel during the school year and stay home during the summer.

:yay:

ah, summer...the most wonderful time of the year!!!! :cool1:

I go down to a half-time schedule at work for all of July and most of August, plus we live a stone's throw from the beach, so it really does feel like we're on vacation all summer long. We use any money we might consider spending on a summer vacation and splurge on a membership to a 'beach club' (cabanas, pools...), so we have a definite destination on any 'nice' day.

Other than that, my older dd will go to a one week drama/dance camp in early July, and possibly girl scout camp the last week in August. We are considering doing a long weekend trip with my SIL and her family and meeting up in Wildwood (they live near Baltimore so it is a good meet up spot). Hoping to take the kids out to Dutch Wonderland and possibly Hershey Park, too.

I can't wait!:woohoo:

Moving into my new apartment May 30th (no boys! just two of us!).

My best friend Sarah is coming to visit (well, visiting her family but I have the fortune of living 15 mins away from them)

The only trip I have scheduled is Disney w/ my mom August 24-31 (for my birthday!).

Hopefully a couple days at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and hopefully at least one long-weekend camping in West Virginia.

Two weddings back-to-back weekends in August- the first one I'm a bridesmaid, second just a guest.

Other than that, hopefully a relaxing summer hanging out with friends. Oh, and of course working!
