Do you do anything annually youre looking forward? Do you have a trip planned?

Im so looking forward to the 4th of July. I always take a day or two off that weekend - and LOVE the 4th!!! Ill be off Friday, off Saturday (and Im usually at the Salon that day too....) We'll be going to a SOX game Sunday and off Monday. Ahhhhhhh!!! :goodvibes

I go to the local parade, the fireworks - Im not into festivals, though. I just LOVE that weekend - it's so relaxing and wonderful!

Other then THAT, Im wishing the summer away, so I can go for 12 long days to Disney. :thumbsup2

How about you?

Well, my big event this summer is that we are moving!:goodvibes I CANNOT WAIT!!!
Other than that, we aren't doing much. We don't do the parks in the summer here, we know better! They are just too hot and too crowded.

Oh nothing but the usual driving ds #3 to a summer job. He just got his lifeguard certification so hopefully he will find something close to home and with the price of gas it better be pretty close hopefully. I will also help teach at our churchs VBS the 2nd week in July. We usually dont take a summer vacation. We go to Disney the week after Thanksgiving. Oh and the usual 4th of July cringing and staying in the house since our umm, lovely next door neighbor likes to bomb the place so to speak this time of year. Oh someone will call the cops as usual and they will do nothing, if he sets up mortars(Professional grade fireworks), illegal here of course because they are so loud they set peoples car alarms off. I just tell dh to have the hose ready in case anything lands on our roof.

Work, work, and more work. :sad2:

Yay! I didn't realize that July 4th was a Friday this year until you said something.

We have a camper that is permanently parked at a camp ground in the "mountains" in our state (they're not really mountains, LOL). Anyway, we'll go there most of the weekends and the 3-day weekends are even better.

The kids (at least 2 of them are) are in camp for most of the summer, but I'm trying to convince my 15 yr old that he should consider doing something to earn money this year. During the time between camp ending and school starting, we'll probably go to the camper for a week or so.

Thanks for asking. I love to talk about summer plans! BTW, the 4th is one of my favorite holidays. The weather is always perfect, IMO. I like it HOT. I actually got married on the 4th.

We always do vacation the minute the kids are out of school because I am ready to get the party started! So yea, on 6/7 we pile in the van and head for Daytona Beach. 2 days there, followed by 3 days at Universal, followed by 3 days visiting my sister near Tampa. Pretty well-rounded vacation right there.

Also look forward to our regular summertime things such as the drive-in movies, Musikfest, camping, our backyard pool, family picnics.

Are we there yet?

Remodel the kitchen with an economy budget. Which means I do most the work, heheheheee.

Mikeeee

DH & I are off to Disneyland on June 15. Not sure if we will make it to Lake Tahoe this summer, as we have kitchen remodeling plans too. Still need to get estimates!

Younger DS is getting married in October, so we'll be helping with the last of those plans.

get fat be hot grumpy sweaty gotta love being pregnant all summer. My dad just bought a camper so we'll be taking that over the lake for a few weekends I guess. Knoebels when dh isn't working at his part time job. Other than that nothing. Maybe a day trip to down jersey shore.

Spending most weekends at the cottage on the lake in Northern WI. :goodvibes

We are possibly going to England again to visit DH's family. :thumbsup2 We're still deciding on that one and trying to work out the dates with his family and dd's obligations.

We will definitely be going to my mom's cottage on Lake Michigan for a couple of weekends. Most likely a trip to Cedar Point, as well.

Not sure I'm looking forward to it, but I'll be 40 this summer just before the 4th. :scared1: Love the 4th celebrations they have here. We have a 3 day festival which is lots of fun!!!

Later this summer I will be meeting up with some friends that should be lots & lots of fun!!!

How is Knoebels? I keep hearing about it, but I've never been there. Is it similar to Dorney Park or Hershey?

Hopefully spending a week or more in PEI during the summer, at my father's cottage. We went last year, and it was fabulous.

I think that is about it for the summer. Day trips here and there, and enjoying the pool.

We try to vacation in the falltime.

Im looking forward to camping with my friends. We have an annual trip that we take every summer. I can't wait for that.

Good memories when I read ur post. I lived in Wausau through my high school years and remember every summer everyone went "up north". From Wausau, everyone seems to head to Rhinelander.

Happy 40th! I turn 40 in May.

As for my plans for the summer. Don't know about June yet. My mom ususally gets my nieces for most of the summer but mom has a trip planned to Vegas in June so I may get the nieces(ages 8 and 9) while she is in Vegas. We usually spend 3-4 weeks at the mom's lake house before and after July 4th. Can't wait...looks like we will have water this year. It's been low water for a few years now due to the drought. SD leaves for Navy basics Aug. 13....then baby girl has a birthday right after that...then DS leaves for ARNG basics Sept. 3. Still haven't decided on whether we are going to put baby girl in pre school next year or not.

We will be staying home and working (that is if I find a job).
