Hi Everyone,

I took my beagle out this morning and she was not out long at all, even she is feeling the cold. She does have a nice coat that we put on her..:goodvibes.

The wind chill is zero here and that is going to be the high for today and tomorrow... :scared1: My plans are to stay in and enjoy my house. I have plenty to keep me busy. Cleanind the office, cooking, watch some movies, and some scrapbooking!

Stay warm everyone!

Morning Kitty!!!!

Usual weekend stuff here. Cleaning, :laundy: , etc.

And yes, you may come over for dinner. Tonight is chicken and dumplings. I make a lot because I love leftovers!!!! Means less cooking on a day that I really don't feel like it:thumbsup2!

Keep warm:hug:!

Chocolate cake is my favorite!!!!

For the recipe, I just cook off some chicken. Then I add carrots, onions, peas, potatoes into the pot with the meat I pulled of the chicken bones. Make sure you have plenty of broth. I cook this until the veggies are all but done. Then I add the dumplings.

For the dumplings, I use the recipe on the Bisquick box. Stir 2 cups Bisquick mix and 2/3 cup of milk until soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto boiling stew or soup. Reduce heat and cook uncovered 10 minutes. Then cover and cook another 10 minutes. It's done!!!

ETA: I usually double the dumpling recipe so that I have plenty of dumplings with my leftovers.

Baby is doing great!!! Found out he has reflux, so his ped put him on Zantac. Now he is a very happy baby:love:!!!

This pic was taken right before Christmas.

Oh I have lovely plans, tomorrow morning fiance and I will be having hot Memere's French toast (recipe courtesy of Port Orleans Riverside) with tons of cinnamon and sugar and some coffee then go read as many books that might rot my brain out and then have a classic movie day with some popcorn and perhaps go book shopping for a little while.

Hey Kitty. :wave2: Stay warm.

I am headed to a physical therapy session in a couple hours, then some Saturday errands and back home to stay warm. Suppose to be 5 below today, 20 below WC. :cold: But we expect it in January.

Sharon, little Zane is too darn cute, what a great picture, getting big. :lovestruc

Just make sure you both, Kitty and Sharon, stay away from the hammers. :lmao:

He is a looker!!! Love him to death. Luckily, they live close to us and we get to see him often!!

Just make sure you both, Kitty and Sharon, stay away from the hammers. :lmao:
Hey, you can't hold good women down!!!

Stay warm!!!

Take down the tree and decorations, for sure. Other than that, probably just cozy up, make some comfort food (maybe a big pot of soup or chicken and dumplings:)) and stay in.

Ok everyone, news from MN, temps for the next few days:

Saturday-high 10F
Sunday-high 25F
Monday-high 26F
Tuesday-high 33F

:banana::banana::banana:

As for our plans, not much, probably organizing and finishing my taxes as much as possible.

Weather is nice here- upper sixties to low seventies all week.:)

The nights get chilly though, and last night we forgot to put the heat on, so I am sitting here in flannel pants, a sweatshirt and warm socks.

My husband and I are leaving in about an hour to go scout out a new housing development located about half an hour from here. After that, we're meeting DD19 in Tucson and taking her out to lunch. I also want to stop at Borders and Target. No plans for tonight, just relaxing at home.

Tomorrow, I'm cooking a beef stew and it'll be football all day!! Rooting for the New England Patriots in the first game and the Arizona Cardinals in the second.:)

Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!

I have already run to Walmart and the grocery so I am in for the rest of the weekend. I plan on watching my "Glee" DVDs this afternoon and then tonight watching the American Idol season 8 reruns on Fox Reality. Tomorrow I will do some cleaning like changing sheets, laundry, and general straightening up.

I'm taking DD snowboarding.:scared1: I really don't want to leave my nice warm house. It's sooo cold.

We're staying in and hoping the forecast for snow is wrong. :scared1:

Exercising, cleaning, ect....Stuff that I do regardless of the weather.

Frankly the weather here isn't that bad.

DH and I are taking it easy this morning/afternoon. DH is playing PS3 and I am here on the Dis! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: I head off to work at 4:15pm... DH will probably continue his video games :goodvibes

Tomorrow, if all goes as planned, I will come home from work and relax some more with DH until I head back to work around 5:30pm. That is if all goes as planned...

plans for cold?

hmm, I think I will mow the back lawn and then fire up the grill and barbecue some steak, or maybe some chicken.

then again, it WAS 85 yesterday and will be high 70's or low eighties today, in my back yard!!

hehehehehhee

I'm at WDW right now, so my plans include trying to avoid the cold whenever possible. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible during the half-marathon this morning; I think this was my most miserable (weather-wise) endurance event ever. I also did the one back home in St. Louis this past April and there was torrential rain the entire time, but it was also something like 55-60 degrees. There was no SLEET, for Pete's sake. :crazy2:
