I guess I'm just curious or nosey depends on how you look at it. Happy Mothers Day to all! If you aren't mothers but have furbabies the same applies. :teeth:

Tomorrow we plan on getting up early and will be going to the Wolf River to help clean it up. Usually, we have so many volunteers and it doesn't take very long at all. This year due to Katrina we plan on spending most of the day. There is still so much debris up in the trees and in the river such as furniture, clothing etc..

I'm still hoping for my dh to cook me a nice meal. He has in the past and I love the break, truth be told.

Ok, well, hold onto your seats, cause this is going to be exciting.

My oldest son will be working on my fence.

Youngest probably won't get to do much. I told him I could use my car cleaned out. The excitement on his face was great-NOT!!

I will actually probably be working on my hurricane supply list. Seeing how many batteries I need to buy, what else, I would LIKE to get, but not sure if I will. Then will probably go try to stock up on as many supplies as I can and that way I have less to do later. Start getting my safe room, partial set up, with what I can fit in there now.

It was a choice of that and planning more on our Disney vacation, but I'm thinking season is only a couple of weeks away. But I may sneak on and do some vaca planning anyway.

Probably get DS10's clothes ready for school next week.

Now aren't you all excited? :lmao:

No big plans, I am very low maintanence, all I asked for was that someone else could clean the house this weekend. My DH says, "What are you talking about? I just cleaned the bathrooms.".....I said, "umm, Dear...that was in 1991." :rotfl2: Steak and shrimp on the Babie tomorrow and frozen drinks with the neighbors   I hope it doesn't rain

Don't know what we are doing. DH and DD haven't planned anything yet

Well yes, I am excited. I think that anyone who is prepared for anything is a lot smarter than than average bear!!!!

Tonight we are going to dinner with my mom, grandma and sister. Tomorrow DH has to work because we are taking off most of the week to go to Disney!
I am contemplating taking my girls to see Disney Princess on Ice - I figure that would be a great Mother's Day gift to myself!

My parents mentioned something about going to the zoo, but the weather isn't looking like it's going to cooperate. So we might just go out to dinner.

True, and thanks.

I can't believe we are already near another season. Oops, sorry didn't mean to take over your thread.

So, I guess my gift to myself, will be Peace of mind. The more I think about it, that's an awesome gift. Maybe I get DS10 to help me with that and I'll just do the car another day.

We are all going out to a very overpriced brunch with my parents, sisters and their families. We will pay a huge amount of money to watch my son eat only a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries, and my daughters, not much more than that. Can't beat that, can you? ;)

I wish there was some way out of it, but unfortunately, there is not. Oh well, at least there will be champagne there, that should help. :sunny:

I believe in having "Mother's Day Weekend" so today I'm doing pretty much nothing. DH and DS went food shopping, while I lounged and watched Clean Sweep and Trading Spaces and The Other (Tivo'd). Exciting, huh?

Tomorrow, I'll visit mom for a bit. She's not up to going out or coming to our house anymore. :( DH's mom is visiting his sister out of state, so we won't be seeing her. DH plans to cook a big turkey dinner tomorrow.

It's supposed to rain AGAIN tomorrow, so I'm hoping kids' soccer games are canceled...THE BEST Mother's Day gift...a Sunday off from sports!

Basically, I'm doing A LOT of relaxing.

We're going to Mother's Day dinner tonight to avoid the crowds. I've already recieved my gifts. The kids were so excited about what they made me in school that they made me open their gifts as soon as they got off the bus on Friday. I went shopping today for the rest of my gifts (actually, just time to myself was the main gift). Tommorow DH will help the kids make me breakfast/brunch. It should be interesting. We are just starting to teach them how to cook (they're 6 years old). They're very eager and cute, but impatient and have trouble following directions. DH should have a lot of fun. :rotfl2:

I plan on doing absolutely nothing!! :cool1: It's the one day I tell EVERYONE that it is my day off so leave me alone!!! My DD's started the tradition of making breakfast for me when they were little and still do....and from there on, I veg out!!!! :thumbsup2

Well yes I am excited! I think its great! Hurricane supplies are great but I will take your kids celebration any day of the week!

Well, I'm pregnant, contracting, and on bedrest, so it looks like not much for me!!! :teeth:

Not sure if DH and dd have anything cooked up. I'm hoping for at least a dinner and a semi-clean house, since I can't really do much but look at these 4 walls. Hopefully in another week or two, I'll have a great mother's day present!

I wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for Mother's day. (my favorite place), but MIL wanted to have a cookout tomorrow instead.

This afternoon FIL went into the emergency room and is staying at the hospital, SO looks like it will be hospital food for mother's day!! :)

Oh please, like I care about anyone taking over my ( or anyone elses thread) thread. All I want is everyone's honest opinions!

Oh honey, champaigne always help!!

Heading home to start packing up my DD's house while her DH is at the "new" house trying to get the new bathroom finished.. Not being able to do anything - feeling useless because of her injuries - is beginning to make her feel very depressed and we really, really don't want to go there again!!!

this thread is the first time I've ever heard of Mother's Day applying to pet owners.
